Boston City Cyclers

I was up in Boston about a week ago and I was walking through downtown when I noticed about 8 or so cyclists on trainers pedaling to bring awareness to an AIDS ride they're going to do. I thought it was a brilliant idea to attract attention to their ride and get in shape at the same time.
They were quite entertaining. I was with a couple of friends who didn't want to pass by them because they all start yelling (not rudely) from their bikes at passers-by to contribute. I thought it was funny.
Have any of your Bostonites seen these people? Or has anyone seen this type of attention getting for a cause?

Prudoe Bay, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina by bike...eventually. (2/3 done!)
