Should I keep it?
My first bike as a grown up was the Magna single-speed of indeterminate age listed in my profile. As a fledgeling mechanic, I converted it from a coaster brake to a freewheel, put hand brakes, anodized purple rims and BMX tires on it and felt a sense of accomplishment and a great deal of pride in my new bike. I rode it for a little while around town to Muchas Gracias and such but over time, especially after I got the Trek, I decided it was too squirrelly and I quit riding it. I held onto it because it was my first bike and my first project and because I'm a sucker for anodization. Now I'm feeling a little guilty. Even if I started riding a BMX style bike again, it wouldn't be this one. Should I sell it so someone can have it who would actually ride it and appreciate it? I could easily put another bike hanger up in my apartment and keep it like a piece of art or a memory in an album but... What would you do?

I'm a clinger myself... mostly because you can't get jack for your used bikes, so why get rid of it? But if you are truly not going to ride it, why not sell it. You could use the money and somebody else could use the bike. Match made in heaven.

I bought this Magna on a business trip to let me get around a little more easily. At the end of the trip I dropped it off at the local Bike Church.
But then I already have lots of other bikes at home. A beater bike is always useful just in case.

I too wouldn't sell it unless I needed the money in some way. Give it away to someone/somewhere in a manner that is meaningful to you. Maybe some kid-future-mechanic needs to do some learning/tweaking. Maybe they just need to get around and can't afford something.
I gave my first car away when it wasn't worth much because the person was a friend of a friend and was going to use it further. No regrets now or then, though I liked the car and was briefly sad to see it go. I learned a fair bit fixing it too.

I once owned a similar project bike. It was a Schwinn Twinn tandem that I converted from a coaster brake. I stored it for years until one day the right new owner appeared at my door. A family had a totally blind daughter who used to ride circles in their cul-de-sac. Our old Schwinn Twinn made it possible for her to ride longer distances with her dad.
My vote is to keep it until the right new rider appears.

^^^ this. I say that as someone who has trouble giving up bikes unless I completely hate them.
