Where to buy and sell bike gadgets

Hi,
i am new to biking and i am all excited to get some accessories like good lights, helmet camera etc. I see that lot of ppl in this forum say I got this , did not work so I sold it.
Other than craigslist and ebay, do bikers use any other good marketplace websites ?

I try to support my LBS. If they don't have and can't get something, I look online at amazon or REI.

Hey sunray,,, try to find all our needs and wants at your bike shop, sometime you'll find an item on the internet the same item that you bought at the bike shop cheaper, but we as cyclists have to try to give them some busness so they can make it , it's like going to your local ACE or true value hardware store yea you'll pay more than if you go to lowes or home depot but gotta give the little guys some busness or you'll have to go to the big guys,,,,,mho

There are also bike fairs that are held yearly in major convention centers.

If you have a fair amount of patience (up to 3 weeks) you can buy some pretty good stuff directly from China where most of it is made and often at a lot less than buying it locally. This is particularly true of small, lightweight items that ship easily and at low cost. Many bike related items on eBay are being sold that way if you look at where it is shipped from. One company I have used frequently is Online Shopping for Cool Gadgets, RC helicopter & Quadcopter, Mobile phone, Fashion at Banggood.com. Payment is by PayPal so there are no foreign transaction fees and I have never been charged duty. Shipping is free. This site has many inexpensive bike tools, very bright CREE flashlights, and mounts for attaching them to your handlebars. There are 36 pages of bike related items and bike tools. Two that I particularly liked are: Flashlight Mount Holder Clip LED Bicycle Bike Torch 360 SKU 025652 ($1.93) and Ultrafire CREE Q5 7W 3 Modes Zoomable Sawtooth Head LED Flashlight SKU 045542 ($5.99) Just type the underlined portion of the description in the search box at the opening page. Sometimes the description can be a bit puzzling.

lbs is the best way to buy new and up and coming products, also get the best and most valuable information about the products they sell. they have almost always seen the good and the bad and can tell you both sides also they can tell you about the warranty and how great some companies are with their warranties
