Hi Everyone! A quick reminder to refrain from political or religious discussion here. Remember to post political and/or religious comments over in Politics & Religion - - Thanks!
If it was meant for me because of
"Because lazy European bureaucrats are behind the whole procedure. They could have realised everything in its entirety. …It just takes a really long time to have these ev routes finished and there is a stereotype of the inefficient bureaucrat that seems to fit nicely.
Again, I'm not trying to make a political point or so.

… How about another dream; If, and this really is a dream, this country didn't have to spend billions of dollars to support military actions around the world combating these religious fanatics, for example, (not wishing to go there in discussion) the impossible can be possible.

Creating bike routes involves a lot of local organizing as well as larger area planning. If you would like long distance bike routes ge,t involved . One group is the Rails to Trails Conservancy which is trying to convert some of the thousands of miles of abandonned rail track to trails. I mentioned the East Coast Greenway in an earlier post. It has taken about ten years to get one section of that approved. That's the section from Waltham out to Worcester.
Yes, this involves politics.

Sorry moderator, but I couldn't help saying it without getting into a political discussion which you won't get out of me. Besides, I don't want to talk about a bunch of people that suffer from a serious bout of $hit for brains.

Yes, I contribute to "Rails to Trails". It amazes me why it takes so long to stop stupid politicians from scratching their fat undecided a$$es on this. You have miles and miles of unused railway tracks along corridors that are not used. They are so afraid, for some reason or other, to spend money on something so beneficial. It's a no brainer.

If anyone is interested in long distance cycling routes (holiday style) through Europe, I am making tutorials for that. Using and combining various cycling websites on the national level (where you can find national long distance routes), you can plan a route through +4 countries in 2 weeks.
PM me if you are interested and be sure to mention which countries you'd like to see. Other specifications might also be needed, such as a time frame when you are available, which accommodations you'd like to use (hostel, hotel, b&b, couchsurfing, tent, ...), distance/day, etc...

…It would be a great thing if the folks in Weston [a ritzy, rustic Boston suburb] could run the tape backwards on whatever fear and disinformation bit them seventeen years ago, and get behind the development of the Wayside/Mass Central Rail Trail.
