Rain Rain Go Away
We don't get a lot of rain in Perth and we could certainly do with a lot more for our gardens and our ever diminishing drinking supply, but Monday's a public holiday and they say it'll be pouring rain and windy.
I'll probably still get out and do a few kilometres but most of the guys I ride with will most likely stay at home. We usually crank out quite a few kilometres on public holidays
We're just starting winter here but the weather this past week has been spectacular. Fine conditions and temperatures in the mid 20s celsius. If it could have only stayed that way for a few more days.
Oh well - I'll just have to be a soggy cyclist on Monday.

Provided it is not a cold rain some of my very best rides have occurred in the rain. It can be tough starting out, but once I'm wet I love it. Of course I ride where there are few cars and am aware they cannot see me as well so I do ride more defensively in the rain.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

The sun has set on the Monday holiday.
There were three of us instead of the usual dozen or more.
We rode, we drank coffee, we rode some more.
I left the other two guys halfway through the ride because I had to help someone shift house.
After the shifting I rode home and got totally soaked.
All in all not a bad day. 75 km and a nice hot shower when I got home. Excellent.
