I have had a couple of mini pumps fail due to breakage. Also I have has a mini pump break off a presta stem. I now carry a mini pump with a hose, but also carry a couple CO2 cartridges. It too makes a difference what pressure tires you have. A mini will pretty easily get the front tires on my trike up to the 40 pounds they need. OTOH on my LWB bent that has 100 pound tires, I use the mini up to a point, and then top the tires off with the CO2 cartridges.

I carry Lezyne pump. The pump is small enough to carry inside my cargo shorts pocket, but I usually carry it inside my backpack together with tire levers and spare tubes.

+1, a Lezyne Carbon Road Drive in Medium, and I have it fitted with the Pen Gauge hose so that I can put the right pressure in. Great pump; easy to use, fills well, light, looks good. I also have an alu Road Drive, Medium, on another bike.

On yet another bike I carry a Zefal HpX frame-fit, and on another, a rather vintage Blackburn mini-pump, the name of which I can't recall anymore.

I can't bring myself to use CO2. It seems so very wasteful and indulgent. I've thought about it on the trail a couple of times, with deer flies doling out painful bites as sweat stung my eyes. I survived.

Zefal HPX, I have 4 of them. Pretty much the gold standard for frame pumps if you favour function over weight savings. When I go on group rides I am the most popular guy in the bunch if someone has a flat.

With that said, I've been very impressed with Lezyne pumps and would recommend them.

I am now a CO2 (only) guy.

But a while back I was riding and noticed a faint, but distinct, 'click' that was obviously related to my cadence. I was worried that I had some kind of BB issue coming on. It turned out to be that my frame pump had rotated such that one of my cranks was barely catching the outside edge of the frame pump. Never had that problem with CO2

On my road bike, I carry an Air Chuck Elite & CO2. I ride a fairly small frame and I couldn't find a convenient place to carry a pump where it didn't get in the way of something. After two or three cartridges, it's time to break out the cell phone. On the bikes where I can fit a pump, I carry a Topeak Mini Morph.

Topeak road morph. I use a frame bag under my top tube ,works awesome. Made by porta-pack. For all the Co2 users, what do you do if you get more than 1 flat?

That's what I keep on my bikes. They work well, but look like hard work and/or awkward to use, so seem to be relatively theft-resistant.

This is my pump of choice when carrying my Chrome bag. It fits in the jersey pocket when not using the Chrome bag, but not great. I would like to find a smaller pump similar to the Morph, specifically, I like the hose but in a compact pump.

I always carry at least two CO2 cartridges. Each 16g cartridge can fill a 700c x 23 tire. I also bring a spare tube and patch kit in case I have multiple flats.

It's a Crank Brothers. The model name rubbed off. Sorry.

Lezyne mini pump in the diameter/size appropriate for the particular bike's tires. I also carry a CO2 cartridge as backup.

On the road bike, CO2 (with 3 carts - one in the inflator body and two in the saddle bag or rack trunk depending on how much I need to carry on the ride), and a Lezyne mini pump mounted behind the down tube water bottle cage.

On the winter commuter, CO2 (with 3 carts - one in the inflator body and two in the rack trunk), Topeak Road Morph mounted on the seat tube.

On both bikes I carry two tubes and a patch kit.

Another Lezyne mini user here. I just checked online and its 6.7 inches long and has a max capacity of 120 lbs. I've just used it to 90 and it wasn't difficult to get there.

I mostly use it to check what caused the flat by inflating the flat tube if it's not obvious. I also sometimes start the new tube with the pump. Then I use CO2. I use a minimal size seat bag with 2 CO2 cartridges, the inflator head, a spare tube, 2 levers and at sticky patches. Then I carry the mini pump in a jersey pocket.
