    different kind of rookie question

    Hey y'all,
I'm definatley not a rookie on a bike but am new to wearing rings. What do you do with your wedding ring while riding? Do you wear it under bike gloves or leave it at home? This may sound like an incredibly simple or stupid question but I'm suddenly clueless as to how its done.
    Thanks,
    Scott

Leave the rings at home I say don't want to lose something that is so close to your heart.

School years were the best days of my life. I used to get caned by middle aged women wearing high heels, stocking and glasses. Now I have to pay for it.

I ride wth mine. I don't like to ever take mine off so I don't get used to it not being on my finger. If you are afraid it will fall off then try gloves or just take it off before you ride but be careful, there are some very cute biker girls out there. Second reason I keep mine on.
I'm not one for fawning over bicycles, but I do believe that our bikes communicate with us, and what this bike is saying is, "You're an idiot." BikeSnobNYC

I guess I could have checked something before I asked that question... I'm not married until June 25... I just tried on my gloves with my ring and noticed they fit on just fine with it on my finger. To the casual observer it may appear that I'm already looking for excuses to take my wedding ring off and I can swear that I love my finace and that is not the situation.
    Now I feel dumb,

I also wear my ring under my glove. My wife on the other hand does not, but then again I don't have a rock sticking out of my ring.

Yeah, I'm pretty lanky and have really big knuckles, so I usually can't get my ring off without lots of effort anyway. Plus I lose things way too easily, so maybe it's better that way. Fits nicely under the glove.

I lost one while snorkling, so I replaced it, then a week later I lost the new one in the produce department of the Safeway. Am I a pathetic husband or what? I'm thinking about a wedding band tattoo, but afraid of the consequences of losing that one!

i wear mine, just a Ti band all the time. The exception is when I am doing metal or tree work, I don't want it to get hung on something and "glove" my finger.

In two years it has come off once. I had been riding and running a bunch and my weight was down. We were walking through the refridgerated aisle in a Kroger and the thing just flew off my finger. It bounced once and headed for the cooler. I had to dive for it!
