I prefer the old style crocheted gloves, and the material is always a tan beige. It's hard enough to find them, never mind the color of any trim on them. Nonetheless, the neutral shade goes well with any color.

Why do I like them? I think they are a classic style, better ventilated, and absorbent to wipe off sweat. But mostly I like the reticulated tanning pattern produced on the back of my hands as the mark of a cyclist.

What he said.... but I keep this pair for "best" and have others for day to day riding that have faded from once upon a time red to dusty pink grey.... I think there is a comeback with the vintage styling and not so hard to get as they used to be, for example here/
