Anti-Theft Insurance
If I don't have any applicable homeowners insurance, is it acceptable to leave this field blank when registering my bike for a lock manufacturer's insurance?
Any tips/experiences with registering bikes?

Okay I just called Master Lock and it looks like the insurance was only meant to cover the deductible of whatever preexisting insurance I have ...

I'd send Master an E-Mail to get their policy for customers without homeowner's insurance. There are many college students and others who rent and don't have homeowner's insurance. Anyway, try to get their policy in writing.
You might also talk to Kryptonite (make sure you get the lock they recommend for your area).

Don't do velosurance's free quote form unless you love spam in your inbox. I filled it out just to get an idea of what they offer and I got 6 emails in two days. Just a heads up. Turned me off the company very fast.

That pretty much goes for any site that asks for your email address, rather than just displaying the requested info. Now just wait till that address gets sold a bunch of times to the lists that the spammers buy...you'll be getting HUNDREDS of emails!
