Just getting started... And we're excited

So up until today I hadn't rode a bike in about 7 years. Boy did it feel good to get back on one. My girlfriend and I went to our lbs and talked to a very friend rep for awhile and when it was all said and done I decided to get the giant revel 29er and I bought my girlfriend the giant(liv I guess is what they call the women's line) enchant. We have both gotten out of shape and thought riding bikes would be a fun way to get healthy again by riding every day after work and school and a new adventure to partake in on the weekends. What do you guys think about these being good entry level bikes for 50/50 trail and road riding. The sales rep assured us they were well suited for what we wanted and gave us both test rides. Should they hold up well? I've never owned a giant but heard its a solid bike. Got out the door with both for about $950 after tax. Seemed like a good deal.

Either way, were pretty excited and I always love supporting local business over the big box stores.

Those sound like they should work out great for you guys. Just get out there and ride.
Also the best thing about getting it from a local shop is they will be there for you to help with fit and service.
