Good score for $150, what with the recent tune, and all! I hear that they're pretty-decent riding mid-level bikes from the day. Any time you can get a bike in good ready-to-ride condition, which isn't some low-end boat anchor, for $150, it's a score!

I think you could have done better but the thing that makes this even close to "good" is that it has a new chain, tires etc. If all that is true then it really isn't a bad deal.

How tall are you? You must have been happy with the price or you wouldn't have bought it. If the bike's the right size to fit your body (and the description sounds pretty accurate to me) it's a good deal. With used bikes the most important single key is how well the bike fits you.

Ride the hell out of it and have fun. You'll always be able to find a hater who will tell you the price was too high. Don't let them upset you.

The Boston area is a pretty hot market for bikes. I think the OP did fine at $150 for a quality bike that appears to be in decent mechanical shape.

thanks for the responses, it fits me well, and felt great on the test ride. the owner did all the work to the bike himself. the tires weren't actually new either, they were just replaced with other used tires. i just hope i dont run into any issues with the bike!

Iffin I saw that bike for sale on my local CL (HA-HA! As if that'd ever happen!) I'd buy it in a heartbeat for $150- even though I don't another steed! Too good of a deal to pass up!
