Michigan: rails to trails or other long trails?
Greetings,
Does Michigan have any long rails to trails routes? Or are there any other longer trails that for the most part avoid cars/roads?
I'll be there for 3 nights without usual responsibilities and thought it would be cool to hit mountain biking trails or try to pile a bunch of miles on in really cool scenery.
Thanks for any info.
Benny

One of my favorite longer trails is the Pere Marquette Trail. Basically, from Midland to Reed City. It breaks up a little bit in Clare. Take M115 west to the Moose Lodge and pick up the trail there again.

I'll not reply directly to the OP, as this thread is over a month old, but yes, Michigan supposedly has more R to T miles than any other state, or so I've read.

The post also does not mention any area of Michigan. Not sure how helpful we can be with out that. Michigan is a large state. Also we would have to assume we are looking for rides that are paved.
