Checking in from the Fox Valley...
I'm in Batavia, IL.
A rider who loves hills and long distance cycling Looking forward to meeting some of you.
I ride most all of the local centuries. I'm doing the Arlington 500 tomorrow (68 miles) and Rockton next weekend. (both days)
Getting ready for RAIN.
I also compete in trail running events and am currently participating in a trail series in Indiana but, mostly, I LOVE being on my bike and meeting other biking enthusiasts.

Im in Cleveland OH, Lakewood specifically for those of you familiar with the area. Im a new roadie, but ride mtn bikes too when i find time to drive to the good trails. I usually ride around 30 miles at a time right now, but looking to increase that to over 50 over the next couple of months and plan on doing the century pedal to the point in August.

I live in Rochester, MN which is in Southeastern Minnesota. My road riding is mostly on farm roads that are mostly pretty flat. I ride 2 group rides a week, usually 30-40 miles and also I ride my bike to work and pretty much wherever I need to go. I mountain bike as well, though it's not too great here.

Grosse Pointe, Michigan. A suburb of Detroit right on Lake St. Clair (a widening of the Detroit River).
It's a great place to raise a family. My preferred sport is running, but I've returned to cycling after a 10 year hiatus due to injury. Running along Lakeshore Rd. is great - bicycling not so great due to traffic but it is tolerable on weekends and when it's not rush hour. There is some nice cycling around here (although no hills). There are nice long and wide side streets that parallel the lake and I can ride for miles without stopping and with little traffic traveling at 25 mph.

Chicago, Illinois. I live near Western & Montrose.
Just started to get active with the cycling community. Pictures from the latest adventures: Chicago Critical Mass, Bike the Drive, Evanston Critical Mass.
I commute about seven miles on a single-speed:
Rubber side down!

Anyone from Grand Rapids MI
Hi-I am an oldie. I have ridden over 30 years. I guess I am a seasoned cyclist.
Here is my problem. I'm tired of riding alone so I have no MOTIVATION.
I am from Belding Michigan. Where is that? Well about 35 miles north east of Grand Rapids.
Does anyone ever come this direction? The terrain is flat but I know where the hills are. I usually have to put in a 50 to 75 miles ride to get lots of hills.
Mountain biking is a - ok.
Someone please advise -I need motivation to ride and to lose the 7 pounds I gained this past winter after foot surgery.

Im always looking for some one to ride with here in ohio. To bad you dont live in this area i could show you some hills that would put the fear of hills in to you heh. And for those days when your not in the mood for a hilly ride theres always around 20 miles of finished hard pack lime stone and paved towpath leading south or another i beleive 40 or 50 heading north. All is nearly pancake flat. At any rate if your ever heading down this way for a trip shoot me a message here on the forums.
