You could try the Spring City Spinners - they're more of a touring club.

CZ Velo is out of Waukesha. http://www.czvelo.com/asp/home.asp?siteno=3478234

Team Polska is too. I couldn't find a website for them.

Road cyclist new to Chicago here, moved in April from Ft Lauderdale. Average 17-19 mph on 20-50 mi rides. Live at Grant Park/Museum Campus at Michigan & 13th. Finishing the move this month and (finally!) getting the bike from storage; am actively looking for South Loop/Downtown ride partners and clubs for serious rides. Thanks.

Rushville, IL here. Population 3300. County population under 8000. US Rte 67 and US Rte 24 meet here.

Have had touring bikers come through in the past as 24 runs out to Colorado and starts at Detroit. I always envy them.

And Bently6 I'm familiar with Winchester. Big high school basketball tourney there each year at Christmas as I recall.

Hello everyone. I'm in Portage, IN, which is at the Southern tip of Lake Michigan. I currently work as an electronic repairman for Arcelor-Mittal Burns Harbor (formerly Bethlehem Steel). My commute is a little under 7 miles. I'd be happy to chat it up with any other commuters in the area, so hit me up with a PM.

Columbus, Ohio.

haningp 06-25-07 08:16 PM

I live in Westerville, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. So far I've been riding the bike trails in the Westerville area. I'm hoping to check out some of the rails to trails paths in Ohio yet this summer.

Bently6;

Im familiar with Winchester, as I drive thru several times a year on my way deer hunting in Pike County.

Moving in August to Streeterville in Chicago from London, UK.

Some of you guys have been very helpful already in pointing out some of the routes I have to look forward to. Many thanks for that. Any further info gratefully received.

I was a few weeks back, but I just passed through. Went from Detroit to Findlay before I realized my stupid car wasn't gonna get me away from what I was running from. The bike wouldn't have been able to save me either, but hey that's life.

I'm in Moline, Illinois, about 150 west of Chicago on the shore of the Mississippi, riding a hundred or two miles a week on a tadpole trike primarily on paths.

Nice to see some more Buckeye's I'm outside of Findlay.

Dr_Robert 07-05-07 11:33 PM

Gahanna, Ohio, a 'burb on the east side of Columbus. I commute 3-5 days per week when the weather's nice, and ride for fun on weekends (and some weekdays). I'm hoping for at least 1 century this season, and maybe to ride RAIN next year if I feel up to it.

I've never done an organized group ride, but I hope to remedy that before the end of the summer. :)

I used to ride the Westerville trails every morning before I moved to Gahanna. Good times.

If you're looking for a change, check out the Johnstown trail sometime - it's a nice path that covers about 15 miles from Johnstown to Newark.

Hey, I was born in Moline (spent two years in Rock Island, still have a crapload of relatives in the Quad Cities).
