PBAL,

I'm very familiar with Milwaukee. It's a very bike-friendly city...

Where do you cycle in Milwaukee?

Cully-J, I cycle the Oak Leaf Trail a lot. I actually live in Muskego, Just SW of Milwaukee, so I get on the trail at Witnall Park. I also like to ride along the lake front. I am planning to do a century sometime this year, by riding from home to Port Washington and back.

Greetings from Cleveland Ohio

Cleveland Ohio here. I live in Newburgh Hts which is a village just a stones throw from downtown. It takes about 15/20 minutes to get to downtown from my house. Nice area, close to the city but far enough away to have our own police force and public service.

If you're looking for other riders in the far west 'burbs, There are a number of us up and down the Fox River. Look on the Great Lakes regional section, BFNIC (Bike Forums Northern Illinois Chapter) is an informal motley crew that sometimes ride with some others at organized rides in the area, sometimes not. Riders of a fairly wide range of abilities, age, etc. Just watch some of the posts if you want to join in sometime. Always looking for new blood, er, I mean, always welcoming new riders.

So, WHERE on the Oak Leaf trail do you go? That's a big trail.... Typically I'll ride from ~92nd & Layton (under the freeway) through the trail/parkway up to Greenfield Avenue. My goal is to hit that trail right at the traintracks before Greenfield Ave straight west out to Waukesha. My longest ride is a mere 14.8 miles and it's been a few weeks since. But, it hasn't as nice as it was a while back.

I get on the trail in Whitnall Park, at HWY 100 and Forest Home Ave. I usually go as far south as Morgan Ave. The round trip from my house is 20M. I've gone as far as Bluemound and back when I have more time.

Grand Rapids, MI here. I haven't run across anyone else from the Southwest, MI area. Not getting much bikeforum love from the other riders I ride with, either

Hi mhamm,

I lived in GR for 18 years. Did most of my riding to the south and east of town.

Logan Square, Chicago. Commute to work every day rain or shine on my fixie. Ride the lake and North Branch trail for regular training rides on my road bike. Make it out to rural WI for the occasional weekend ride. My goal is to do a lot more organized rides this year.
