Currently in the Indianapolis area, before that Fort Wayne, spent time in Valparaiso and West Lafayette for college, grew up in the Huntington area.

So I've covered a good part of the Northern half of Indiana.

We just moved to the bustling metropolis of Door Village, Indiana - has one subdivision, one county park, one church, and an auto body shop. But lots of quiet roads which are in surprisingly nice condition. Just North and East of Valparaiso. I'm 68 now, and got back into bikes when I retired 2 years ago. My sons and granddaughters gave me a nice Trek for a retirement gift, and told me that I had a year to get back into shape, cause I was riding the Hilly Hundred with them in the future. If you're in the midwest, and want to have a blast, check out www.hillyhundred.org.

Love that I found BikeForums....from Appleton, WI.
Biked a lot back in the 70's & 80's (did I really just date myself?). Had a real nice Super LeMans Centurion and rode everywhere. Had been out of biking the last nine years due to a bad hip. Had it replaces
last year and slowly building back up but now on a Raleigh Detour 4.5 hybrid. Feels good to be back riding if only a little at a time.

Chicago here. Love commuting on the city streets. I get such a buzz when I cut between some buses. Probably not the safest way to ride but I have a messenger mentality....everywhere I go is a sprint. I ride the lakefront occasionally but it does get heavy traffic in the afternoons.

Living in the Chi, that is Chicago for all you non-gangsta folks like myself (total bold-face lie).

NW side of the City, frequent the North Branch and Skokie Valley Trails for 50+ milers. Looking for more people to ride with since I do it alone and the wind sucks sometimes.

Akron, OH - not a bad place to ride - close to towpath trail, nice roads in Cuyahoga river valley, not far from Amish country if you want to get out a smell some nasty stuff on lonely roads.

Valparaiso Ind here, we hit the parie dune land trail when we can. The city of valpo is doing a nice job of putting in some bike paths/mup so we do some around the city too.

Plymouth, Wisconsin half way between Green Bay and Milwaukee. I am just getting into touring as I also start getting into shape. Hoping to do some winter riding if the weather cooperates as much as it did last year.

Southside, Englewood.

Would LOVE to find someone more serious about cycling around here or anywhere south for that matter. I have a job visiting many retail stores in the chicagoland area... from Frankfort up to ~4800 north pulaski... I bike em all, occasionally with some train assistance. I'd say I've been going at least 100 miles a week since I've needed a jacket to be outside.

I've got a 70's/80's schwinn traveler that I keep in good repair (aside from the seat thats broken, but safely left that way cuz its actually more comfortable and makes the bike look shoddy/good for theives) and enjoy very much. Working toward some nice bar end shifters and a new crank - but I typically average about 17-18mph per my bc 1009 and I've only been strictly biking it to work/play for just these recent cold months but in fair wind I can hold that speed for the duration of the lake from hyde park to montross. I have a goal to break the 25 miles in an hour mark.. so far I've done 18 miles in an hour including a few stops for traffic when I was running late on my route.

My love is music, though, I love guitar and I produce instrumentals/some people enjoy working with them . You may see me with my guitar strapped to my back cruisin around the city (hopefully more than 20mph!).

Madison Heights, MI (about 13 miles north of Detroit). Moved here this spring after spending the last 7 years in Grand Rapids (GVSU Alum). I'm new to riding, just got a 2012 Giant Escape 1 after Christmas. I'm dying to take it out for a ride, but not really sure where I can go around here that's clear.

Welcome friend! I actually grew up in the Mad Heights...great little town and my parents still live there.

Plenty to do in this area; check out the GL Section here for some good links and reading.

Thanks! I'm loving it so far. Can't wait to get out this summer and explore a little further out on the bike. I just started to get more into fitness since I moved here and the only "drawback" is that I live just a couple blocks from The Green Lantern. Seriously reduces my motivation every time I run by there

Love Green Lantern...we STILL get pizza from there quite often (either my brother or myself stops on the way home to pick it up). We have Mama Rosa's on the east side (I live in GPP) which is equally good.

Wow a lot of Elginites (Don't know if that is a term, but I'm using it) I would love to hear about some rides around Elgin for a person who thinks they are faster than they really are!

<-----My blurb says it all

I ride mostly solo, although my younger brother and sister are enthusiastic cyclists and we get together a few times a year. Favorite rides are Critical Mass, Tour De Troit, Amishland & Lakes (in northern Indiana) and the 28-mile round-trip bike path from Island Lake through Kensington to Milford and back.
