    newbie looking for bike suggestions

i'm a new rider interested in getting into everyday biking because parking is scarce and weaving through traffic rocks. I have never owned a fixedgear but my roommate has an old Nishiki that i love riding and has prompted me to get my own. Problem is, i have no clue of what brand of bike i should get. i know i need a frame that is 56 c-c but what does someone recommend for everyday city riding? Nothing too serious, but a bike that's fun to ride. Oh, and i'm in college so i'm kind of broke. But im looking to spend upto 350 maybe even 4. any suggestions would be a great help. thanks.

Giant, entry level Trek, Older Road bike off of Ebay or Craig's List? I'd suggest a lugged steel frame myself, You could pick up an older Bianchi or whatever! Just get a frame that fits and you can't go wrong!
on light duty due to illness; please contact my assistants for forum issues. They are Siu Blue Wind, or CbadRider or the other 3 star folk. I am currently at home recovering from a couple of strokes. I am making good progress, happily.
