"And the GOLDEN HIP AWARD goes to..."

Okay, I've judged the great BFNIC fall ride now, using the pictures posted in other threads from the grand weekend event.

The question being...who will be named "Best Dressed" of the ride.

As is usually the case with me, I will draw this out with all the drama that it deserves, posting periodically today the results, from honorable mention to 3rd, 2nd, 1st runner up and the winner.

*HONERABLE MENTION
"iab" because the man reached out with the pith helmet of course.

3rd RUNNER UP
"psimet2001" because I liked the clean lines of the nice Pearl jersey (sans the vest in the pix below in this thread.) Good use of basic black and red.

2nd RUNNER UP
"voldemort" because he kept the fun in by wearing that New Orleans jersey. Those socks on their own would be an eyesore, but with that fun, colorful jersey they made all the sense in the world.

1st RUNNER UP
"aham23" because there is a time and place for wearing black socks, and that was it. Now THAT was a rider...elegant look with his RAIN jersey. Sooo close to winning it all.

....and the Titanium Hip Best Dressed of the ride award goes to....

"dekalbsteel" because the man simply had it going on. Seriously, the whole look was even coordinated with his sexy Bianchi for cryin' out loud.

So there you have it.
I would hope that you sir, like others, will now add this prestigious title to your signature here at BF.

If you would like your winning shirt...PM me with a complete address and it shall be yours.

Thanks for playing all.....

I stand corrected.
Good idea.

As long as it's a fake award anyway....call it what we want.

There will be no titanium hip statue for the winner....only a WTMJ T-shirt!

I submit my "kit"...Red Pearl jersey, CSC cap with red Atmos helmet, red/black SIDI shoes, blue vest and blue gloves to tie in my blue Giant....

Huh..huh?? Whatta ya think? The "dough-boy" look is part of the whole package...

Way to go Dekalbsteel, you were definately the OCP God of the day. Sorry I missed out on the cookies you brought. They apparently were all the rage. Thanks also for hanging at the back with me for awhile. Hope I didnt ruin too much of your ride by slowing you down.

Thanks again for the great event Psimet, you sure have a knack for planning.

Maybe next year I can hang with the big boys

Thanks Kimbercop! I don't know how you missed the cookies, I put them out next to the water after Leg 1. Voldemort had one and then I left the rest on Psimet's car when I bailed out on Leg 2.

And I'll let you in on a little secret.....I was drafting off you!

Ah yes, colorful. At work I'm the guy with the "colorful" ties (some people pronounce that U-G-L-Y.) Next time for sure! You know what they say; "if at first you don't suck seeds... "
