22.4 miles @ 22.2mph avg. I didn't pay attention in the 2nd race and the wheel in front of me let a gap open and OTB I was
First race I just hammered for the first 4 laps and was OTF until the pack caught up. It was a good feeling of pain right from the start. Just wanted to see if I could recover after the pack caught up with me and made sure I wouldn't be flung OTB.

nice and easy effort. i have some issues with this weather though. WTF? comes to mind. its August and i am wondering where the heat and dead calm is? Spring was cold and wet. now, we have August mornings with 50 degree temps and 10 mph winds out of the east. i want some freaking summer weather, not fall, in August. i am sure i am in the minority here.

later.
I am with you on that, it sucks to go against the wind only because of some "unexpected" training going through it but other than that, it should be clear and very calm to just perfect for better riding, heck, we may even have a winter with good good riding days...

no I did not ride... nor did I run I spent the last two days doing much needed laundry (because my weekends are 24/7 crazy life crazy life)...

... but I will run tomorrow even if it kills me... or kills the much needed other household chores. Gosh I wish I wasn't so much against a maid... seriously, a single woman hiring a maid... NOW THAT IS WRONG!... or is it?

28mi Friday 20mi after work this morning. I think the 20mi is going to be my new route home weather permitting. Someone said the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a colder and snowier winter this year.

8/27: 18.9 miles (14.4 mph avg.; 1 hr. 18 min.). Best avg. of yr. so far.

Did rather quick 90 min. ride around far west Joliet and Shorewood area. (rode out to Ridge down Theodore, Ridge to Bell, Bell to County line, Co. line to Seil, Seil to River, River to Black, Black over 55 to home.)

32.09 miles. I started the ride in rain, and ended in rain.
-Great ride
-Three climbs where I exerted myself
-My legs aren't back to 100% after last night's crit. I probably need another massage
-My brain is out of control, I'm going international next year with my racing.

8/26 30 mile commute from work. About 15 on the Fox River Trail, and about 15 split among Penny Road (from one end to the other) and trail/Algonquin Road.

My standard 30 mile round trip. I went a bit faster than normal and it hurt!

Time to learn how to stretch, I guess.

8/27 - Wanted to do ABD grou pride out of Batavia....got a "no" from the tower.

8/28 - Tried to sneak out during lunch. Rain. Someone said "Mexican?" so I stuffed myself instead.

8/29 - Tried to sneal out during lunch. Tower stopping by for lunch instead.

I'll ride again someday....I swear.

.

My brain read "Wanted to do Abu graib ride", which of course, would have been out of Iraq, not Batavia, and would have required a Humvee and body armor (available at Performance).

And never, never try "snealing" out during lunch

Man, you just got me depressed. I feel for you man, if you lived out here I'd gladly lend you a bike for the weekend. I'll be out in Galena and NOT riding anyway.
