Allegheny Jet 10-13-08 05:42 PM

42.3 flat miles @ 19.8 average. Rode with my younger son who took 2/3rds of the pulls. I told him to "go" at 33 miles so he could keep his average over 20. It was a beautiful day out there. Not many of these left.

RacerOne 10-13-08 06:18 PM

10/11 48.9 miles, first time with a group

10/13 16 miles, legs still hurt from riding with group. Nasty wind out there today.

10/13

18 miles in the dark. Well, I had my lights, but some of those valley roads can be DARK! But that's okay. There weren't any cars around. Just had to watch out for those big bunnies. AKA, deer.

patester242002 10-13-08 09:05 PM

10/12 - 20+ miles
Ride started in Minooka. Rode to Lyondell Rec. area between Channahon and Morris where the Morris Lions Car Show was taking place. Over 1100 cars entered. That's a record. Sunny and mid 80's.

10/13 - 17.4 miles
Rode around far west Joliet. Mostly cloudy and still rather warm and a little humid. Upper 70's.

mridan 10-13-08 09:44 PM

25 miles on the IPP out to Prince Crossing Rd,was going to be a recovery ride but sometimes I find it hard to pace myself.I did get to test out my new Dinotte 800 lumen light, and all I can say is holy crap this is one bright light!Great for trails or road biking. They sent it to me express shipping at no charge(got it the next day)and it cost them $16.00.They also included an extra handlebar mount for no charge,so its very easy to move light from my road bike to my hybrid.

10/12 and 10/13 Thirty plus each day. Man! Since riding with you all Elyria/Wellington, have been trying to increase both mileage and speed. Yet, during these two heaven days, I have had the cold from hell (underdressed 10/05). I usually just juice, meds, and a bunch of other stuff to rid it. But this time decided to ride it (cold) to death. It really makes a difference.

nocondorfx 10-14-08 04:11 PM

10/14- 20 miles of singletrack.

cstamper 10-14-08 06:51 PM

Another beautiful day here in Ohio. Did a quick 21 out and back on the MUP.

patester242002 10-14-08 08:35 PM

10/14 - 22.4 miles
Rode to far west Joliet, went as far SSW to Jughandle Rd. before riding into Shorewood on way home. Nearly perfect weather today (60's and sunshine). Warm enough to shed sweatshirt in the bag for a while. Supposed to rain tomorrow.

mridan 10-14-08 09:24 PM

Villa Park to Elgin on the IPP 50 miles.50 miles riding a hybrid on a crushed limestone trail is alot more tiring than riding my road bike for the same distance(well it is for this newbie). When coming back home from Elgin I decided to check out the South Elgin trail section, what a fun hilly two mile ride! When I got to Elgin I looked to my right and there it was Dunkin Donuts ,I had to stop D'oh!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXCbAtkgNMw

Sweet resto-mod on that Benoto !! http://www.freedomcrowsnest.org/foru...les/cheers.gif

20 miles on the MTB yesterday, 18 today on the road - last half in the rain.

There's nothing that says "Welcome to autumn" than riding in the cold (53) rain.

It was kinda fun though. http://www.freedomcrowsnest.org/foru...miles/roll.gif

RacerOne 10-15-08 03:28 PM

10/15 24 miles out and back on US 40, 20.0 mph. What a beautiful day to be alive and living in central Indiana.

CrimsonKarter21 10-15-08 06:03 PM

20 off-road miles at Reagan Park in Medina.

22 miles on-road later tonight to test out my new lights. I got caught in a downpour 7 miles from home inth e dark and LOVED it.

nocondorfx 10-15-08 07:49 PM

10/15- 49 miles. Downpour plus dark sucked. When it stopped raining and I didn't have nasty brookpark rd. roadgrime water in my mouth and eyes, it was a little better.

Scott, At least we were not out in Amish country, getting that stuff in your mouth really sucks:cry:. I liked the last 6 miles when the group went turbo.:D

nocondorfx 10-16-08 03:26 PM

10/16- about 17 miles(guesstimate) of singletrack at reagan with mitch. I got clotheslined. Off to see the cavs preseason game w00t!

garysol1 10-16-08 03:30 PM

30 miles out to Lakewood. Cold, cloudy and windy. Feels like winter is on the way.

CrimsonKarter21 10-16-08 05:57 PM

Same as Scott. I think I pulled whatever muscle is between the grain and stomach or something. I was hoping that riding would make it feel a little bit better, but it only made it worse.
So I'm in a predicament;
If I go to the doctor and it turns out to be nothing, my family and I are wasting money because our insurance now has a $5000 premium or whatever. If it is something, we still pay tons of money and we still have to pay up to $5000.
So now I'm practically forced to do nothing.

Or maybe I should quit *****ing and try to ride my bike like I'm supposed to.

patester242002 10-16-08 07:08 PM

10/16 - 26.5 miles
Rode up to 135th St. in Plainfield, then SW to Caton Farm / Ridge intersection back into Joliet, then east back home.

RacerOne 10-17-08 04:17 PM

10/17 - 15 miles, started out pretty cold then I got warmed up. First time this year with a jacket.
