So I started my weekend ride this morning, 1/4 into the trip it started to rain so I decided to pack up and turn around. Oh, that sucked. Huge headwind from the north again just like last weekend.
It sucks when you're into anaerobic power and you're not making any headway.
Given this was only for 377ft, but there were other gusts too.

Min Max Avg
Power: 242 414 333 watts
Cadence: 80 94 85 rpm
Speed: 10.7 12.4 11.5 mph

Went for a short ride today (5 miles). Started raining pretty much right as soon as I left, and my hands got cold quick, so I didn't ride as far as I would have liked

34.88 miles solo. I set out with the intention of doing the FTP test, but I didn't have anything in my legs. Great day out though.
When I came home I washed my bike and made me some of this mouth-watering, sinus clearing stuff. I love it.

Scott I was at ray's today to and got to talk to Dave Mirra, and watch Hans Ray, the dude is awesome. We also watch a group of guys from BLK Market bikes ripe up the Subaru street park. However it would have been nicer if they had made it more user friendly, was kinda random most of the time. DAN

40 miles today. www.intellicast.com said 45 and heavy rain, and true to their word, it was 45 and heavy rain.
There is nothing cooler than jumping in the shower with all of your clothes on and turning up the heat to boiling point. Afterwards, I washed my clothes (in the shower) with some tea tree oil and dried them in a towel, just like the pros.

I rode yesterday. We worked it in between thunderstorms. Beautiful ride. Nice and easy. At the end we were coming back to the shop along the trail and some geese moved out in front of us. I saw one and was moving away and looked up in time to see the rider in front of me directly in front of me and at a complete stop....

....over the bars. Ripped up some gear.

I keep going over the bars and tearing up the same shoulder muscles each time. It hurts. Sucks.

44 miles.
I started out right from the gun and latched onto a car at 30mph. Motorpaced for a few miles at 35mph. Went into the Metroparks, but Valley Parkway was closed down, but I rode through anyway. It was fun riding on the centerline and not worrying about cars.
Then I found out why the road was closed.
The river had flooded just about everything. the baseball fields were all under water except for the pitchers mound, and in the closed section's road was overflowed.
I decided to chance it anyways and just ride through the water.
BTW: When did this action ever yield a good result?

It turned out the water was so deep that I was up to my skewers! So now my ass is wet even though I was standing, my feet are thoroughly soaked and I've got brown river water splashed all up on my whip.
Once I kept going it got better, until I came across more flooding. Except this time I noticed a minivan parked on the other side of the lake, and the water was up to the bottom of the door of it, so I turned around and did another route.

I did 25 miles today, it went by way to fast, a little over an hour, felt strong today. Hey mitch speaking of water and muck, I'm thinking about getting a cyclocross bike to hit the trails and not be restricted to just the road. I think I'd be able to get around the area a lot better if off road was more of an option. Is there cyclocross in Ohio?
