Had a fun ride yesterday, 15mph SE wind, felt like a pro rider the first half, doing 25mph on the flast with no effort, but it was tough coming back home into the wind. Going to take the day off today, 20mph winds with 30mph gusts doesn't sound fun.

40ish today. Lots of stops to do bike fit adjustments. Windy and quite chilly today...At least the lake is free of ice now..

Rode south into the teeth of a headwind, then blew home. Around 30 miles I think.

A RAAM rider I knew years ago used to say "the wind is my friend, it helps me train." I understand the effect, but strongly disagree with the friendship part.

I HATE wind, especially after today, my only choice was to go with the wind for the first 20 miles only to have the wind in my face the last 40, I was cruising at 30 mph for the better half of the ride, made my turn home and was anaerobic dying to stay at 18 mph!

Rode the last 3 days in a row, 23 miles, then 30, then 23 again. All rides had a 15-25 mph, crosswind going out and head wind coming back.

Avg. about 17.4 mph.

The wind was STRONG today, probably some of the strongest I've ever ridden in; and that's saying a lot. On the Detroit Rd bridge I got blown into the next lane by a heavy crosswind that I wasn't expecting, and at times I was putting out 350+ watts and only moving 12mph into a headwind.
I got a flat as soon as I was turning onto a hill and I couldn't find the cause or a hole in the tube, so I cautiously put a new one in and went along. Washign my bike later on I found a part of the tube sticking out of the sidewall of my P3R tire, so this is the second tire in a few weeks to get a blown sidewall. Luckily both were on their last legs.
After coming home on Hilliard, the Schwartz Rd, I turned onto Lear Rd and had an awesome tailwind, and I was gliding at 36 mph for two miles with drivers behind me looking like I was Superman.

I ended up with 50 miles.

P.S: I've been gluing like a madman these past few days; I've got my team Monti tires and my green Vittoria Pave's glued up to their respective carbon rims; the Vittorias ended up PERFECT with no glue seepage and a good, STRONG hold.

What a great ride this morning. I woke up to dry roads. It was supposed to be raining it was a pleasant surprise. Temps around 40 with very overcast sky's and 90% humidity. I didn't want to get caught out with my new bike so I took my old stand by with fenders and new handle bar tape Lots of squirrels and geese out and about. only had time for about 25 miles but no complaints. It was a glorious way to start a day...

If you're looking for that Paris-Roubaix effect, head like 3 miles south on Ridge past Edgerton and go up Cady Rd.

Got in 67 miles today, still pretty windy, but I arranged to ride back with the wind, so it wasn't too bad. Snow is still sticking around though.

17 miles...love daylight savings time.

I had alotted enough time for 25 miles, but I had a dyslexic moment while i was pumping up my tires and I broke the stem so I had to change the flat and that cut into my riding time doh!

3/26 - 27.4 miles
Rode to far north end of Plainfield. Sun was out on way in. Mainly overcast coming back. Not too bad though. Hope all you Wisconsinites didn't put away your winter gear just yet cuz it looks like you might see 6 inches of snow Saturday.

$7.50?

Only 19.47 miles today before work. I took my Giant into work and there was a guy who was drooling over it, and my co-workers who haven't seen her were too. That felt pretty good.
I checked my tubular tires today, and the glue is strong, and there is no residue on the rims or tires.

By the way, how is work Gary? Are your eyes being opened to the ignorance of the general, non-cyclist public yet?
Has anyone come in looking for used bikes, or $60 Huffy's?

So far so good. I have been busy in the fit area so really so far I only dealt with the customers who have already purchased. The only selling I have done have been accessories like bags, cages, tubes and the like. So far all of my customers have been pretty cool.

Had my annual crash today. Glad to get it out of the way so early in the summer Typical abrasions on the elbow, hip, calf, and ankle. Good news is no broken bones and no concussion.

I'm trying out transparent waterproof bandages, kind of like saran wrap. We'll see.

37 miles tonight with only 690 ft of climbing over Northern Medina County and Eastern Lorain County roads. The sun came out and the winds died down a little resulting in me being overdressed. First 20 min @ Z2, then 65 min @ Z3 interval, finished with 25 min of cool down. Ave for the ride was 19.1, and 19.9 ave for the Z3 interval. If I had a bike like Gary's or Mitch's my average would have been over 21 for the interval.
