29 mile commute
29 miles at Vultures Knob, 30 at Orrville.
8/6 ABC Deep lock quarry fast ride 18mile WM followed by 31miles on the ride. Got out sprinted this week, position is everything and I didn't have it, guy got my wheel on the sprint up the final hill. BOOHOO, great ride though!!
I wanted to ride 25...my legs didnt. Legs cramped pretty bad after 10 miles...not sure why though. Ended up riding 13
8/6 - 15.6 miles
Not bad for being away from it for a week and a half. Probably won't ride over weekend due to the heat we're supposed to have over the weekend here.
45 minute easy spin this AM. I'm loving recovery week. Really nice day to ride.

As soon as I finish work I'm jumping on my bike for a 2 hour cycle, can't wait to stretch my legs and get out in the fresh air.
Timmy, for a change Mitch is partly right, though I can't recall the publication that I read it in. There is strong evidence that post workout caffiene (coffee) can boost the muscles ability to utilize protein for repair. I don't recall anything about the stength part thoough.
Mitch, I think you need to be a little more scientific in your assesment of caffeine, one time isn't going to reveal squat. You need to do a trial period and use different quantities of caffiene to see if has any real effect on ya !
2 laps at reagan. I'm not a fan of some of the new routes
Nice 23.5 ride @ 20 avg. Finally able to stand (a little), shoulder feeling better. It's been three weeks.
Off to Westerville tomorrow for a juniors (15) race. The boy thinks he's ready. He won the "B" race at Westlake this week. Should be interesting.....
Great 40 from central columbus out to westerville, watched the crit going on, then kept going.... Until my riding buddy broke his bike (2nd in 6 mos!).... DAMN YOU FELT!
Did the Akron Bike Club's "Roscoe Ramble" 150 mile, 2 day ride. From Canal fulton (near Akron) to Roscoe Village (historic restored canal town) and back. This is one of, if not the, finest rides in Ohio. It takes in some of the most scenic part of our state and you will not find a ride that offers more food than this one for the money and you stay in one outstanding hotel on saturday night (Coshocton Inn and Suites). If your ever interested in seeing the central part of Ohio and really enjoing it, look this ride up and do it.
40 miles out of Panama City Beach Fl today. Brutuly hot sun and brutuly flat and straight roads. The only good thing is now I can drink more Margaritas and eat more fried seafood
Took the 'new' fixed/single road bike out for its first shakedown run today. 8 miles around the lake with 46/16 into a 20mph headwind - not exactly fun. Bike was fantastic though. Then jumped on the Marathon for another 21 miles. Felt pretty tired today - probably due to having to get up at 1am for work today and only having <4 hours of sleep....but glad to get out.
50 miles. hot hot hot!!! (too hot)
Had a great, albeit short, ride with some folks from Indy today. 18 miles under a blazing hot sun with hills and a 17mph headwind on the way back. It was one of the better rides I've had this year. I am very, very brown now. Well, except for my hands (gloves) ankles (socks) and other bits that are covered by plastic, lycra, or other materials.
30 miles of Orville's rows of corn and the Milk Race today. It was hotter than I am used to riding in.

Allegheny, what time was the race today? The roscoe Ramble went right through orriville today! I think me and the wife hit town about 11:00ish. Thankfully, I don't remember seeing anyone on our route through town. Wow that would have been interesting if the two had crossed paths. LOL!
08/09, 62.3 Miles (metric century)
A personal best for ride length. I had to pick the most hot / windy day of the year!
1st long ride on my new Brooks saddle (Team Pro), very pleased with it.
7 mile commute last night, followed by 12 hour factory shift. 7 mile commute home this morning and 7 miles back to work again tonight.
My Trek 3700 is shifting worse and worse on the middle gears on the rear derailer. I'm going to have to have a serious look at it when time permits.
The commute home is a great unwind, though.
