TSURU, Keep your ride posted here as well as in charity. Weather permitting I would give it serious thought to come down and ride. Maybe as it gets closer to the date, I can convinve a few other northerners to trek down too!! Dan

Took the day off.... but I made good use of it -----> https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...r-on-April-3rd!!!
Hope some of you can make it out!!!
Hope some of you can make it out!!!
Though it is in the future, I'd like to sort of commit myself to going.
We have taken some group rides, well, I took one with gary, momof4greatkids, lenaid, dan, and a few other folks. I had a great time and got to meet some wonderful folks; the ones aforementioned.
Maybe, if someone has a van or minivan or a few of them we can pool together, save fuel and go down and support this cause. I am already a Komen volunteer as both my mother and first-cousin are breast cancer survivors. But again bro, u-r-missing your calling. It's in you!

45 minutes in the snow, going nowhere. Kicked my butt. Got home, bought & loaded up a https://thesufferfest.com video and went for a ride in the basement. Good day, if a bit odd.

We took an unexpected trip to Columbus yesterday. When we left Cleveland it was sunny, snow melting and I was salivating over the idea of riding when I got back. By the time we got to Polaris we were in snow showers and it looked more like Cleveland than Columbus. But I held my head up, kidded the folk down where we had to go about us having no snow but they did and left. As we traveled up I-71, I kept saying to myself the snow is going to stop soon. It did not! And now we have a blanket too!
It is all the souths fault!
Oh welll, I'm going over to Eddy's for a fix tomorrow

The ride coming up in Columbus
Though this is tomorrow it will be here soon. And many of us make plans for the upcoming based on the seriousness of the consequenses. Well, all of us have mothers, grandmothers, maybe sisters, aunts, and daughters. What would we say or feel if they told us tomorrow that they are diagnosed with this killing and dismembering disease? One that not only hurts them psychologically, spiritually but self esteem wise too if they end up having a mastecotomy.
Like many diseases that have come to pass or at a breaking point; it will take folks rallying to get it done. Two years ago, when they had the 60 mile walk here in Cleveland, I noticed that many of the ladies where saying it is all about the ta-ta's. And basically saying that getting us male folk to care was not working so they directed the aim directly back to the men and said hey sex demon it is all about the breast you desire to hold, feel,....
It struck me then that they had to reduce themselves to this to get our attention. We as a family of cyclist, whom are working everyday to keep ourselves in shape and hopefully keep some health wolf at bey should get into this event. What better message can we send to our really better halves than actually listening; shown by being there. If you have no women in your life that you feel are worthy of such a sacrifice, then I invite you to spend a day with one of cycling sisters like momof4great kids. She is something else. She also, not too long ago, sent a son to the Marines. While he is there let us show him we are looking out for his number one girl while he is away, and whoever ours is too, by participating in thiis thing. Something that will benefit one of the best treasures that has been shared with men: Ladies!
P. S.
Men are getting breast cancer now too! If none of the above moved you then maybe the idea of them cutting on you someday may be a reason to come on and get in

2 hour trainer class last night. The class is moving towards longer Z3 intervals with some Z4 accelerations thrown and is getting harder, which is a good thing. My first race is a little more than one month away.

What an awesome day. 20's, sunny, and tons of snow on the ground.
45 mins on the MTB around the neighborhood.
Followed by 90 mins skiing at the local golf course.

Another beauty of a February day today. 25F, mostly sunny, HUGE piles of snow all around but roads are now 95% clear. 45 mins riding the MTB around the area. Really cool riding by a local lake with kids playing hockey on it and folks ice fishing too. Legs starting to wake up a bit.

36 miles of salty road riding with a couple bud's. A bunch of my riding buddies hid behind their wife's skirts saying it's Valentines Day and they needed to be home. I wonder if those same guys take a day off from work when Valentines Day falls on a weekday?
It was nice to be in the great outdoors again.

Another 'beauty day. 28F, sunny, light wind.
Worked harder today. This is normally a very narrow paved trail, part of the Ronde de Greendale - a series of paved and unpaved trails around town networking all the cool places to ride known only to the locals. Guess the snow plow doesn't know the route. Tomorrow I ski.

Threw the bike on the rack and drove out to Waukesha. Rode from Minooka park around the area for 30 mins (very little traffic) and then tossed on the ski boots for 30 mins of XC skiing. Killer workout (for me) on a absolute *KILLER DAY*! 36F and bright sun. Ski trails are still in *GREAT* shape! (not that I am). Will bring the camera along tomorrow.
