I made it about 3 miles to wallgreens in 8 to 12 inches of snow on my fixed gear. It was.... interesting.

Leinad and I got in 41 miles today. A bit chilly at 35 degrees and overcast but at least the roads were dry. It was nice being out.

Went out from 4-5:30 tonight. Wore summer shoes/shorts/thin ankle socks, a light UA with a lightweight LS jersey on top, and my Brooklyn cycling cap w/ no helmet.
I was kind of hoping to get hit today, so I was riding like a maniac. Super pissed, and I rode better and smoother than I did in racing form. 45F out, wet roads. I rode 5 miles to get to a nice spot where I could make 4 laps of a course I made up at 4 miles a lap.
I need someone to take with me to races to beat the sh*t out of me before I go out.

Anyways, since I've gotten pro-fitted to my Cannondale with the Specialized Body Geometry method, I've felt a lot smoother. The stem got de-flipped and I can breathe better while still having a level back in the drops, and with the seat up 3mm higher, I feel like I've got the pedal stroke of a God.

Mitchocrates, God of the Pedalstroke?

It's got a nice ring to it.

But that was on the track bike, this is the Cannondale. I swear to Mitchocrates, my pedalstroke is amazing now.

Yesterday I rode my rollers for 25 minutes until I somehow managed to loose attention and swerved of the rollers and crashed onto the floor.
Talkin about roller humiliation. That concluded my training session for that evening.

Every once in awhile I think I should get rollers because it seems it would be more like "real" riding, then I read something like this and think "maybe not". And my level of concentration is WOW look at that snow coming down!

+1 - I've been finding myself looking at the Performance ones. With a 20% off trainers coupon I got in e-mail today + the ongoing sale you can get their's for $79. I know they're crap, but for $79 it might be worth trying right?? huh??

Then I catchthat moment of clarity. Why the F would I want rollers? I already try to avoid the trainer at all costs. Image how I would be if I knew the trainer could kill me as well....

My commute was a little slower than normal, due to wind standing and blowing snow, visibility, and slipperosity. Traffic was low though.

Does slumping over the bars of a snow-blower qualify?

I did mine and two neighbor's driveways and walks, shouldn't that count towards my base miles

I rode 80 some miles today. Very windy. Felt like 40F. I rode without gloves most of the way (big mistake bringing my too-warm PI Gavias, I definetely should ahve stayed with the Cyclones).
All in all, I felt really good. I've learned that team parties can be fun when thrown, and you can get some really nice closeout stuff for less than dead-cost. I've also learned that I should never date a girl under 16 again, since they're very immature.

50 min. on the rollers today. Watching Family Guy on the rollers is definitely good entertainment.

A day late on the posting here. But I did 101 miles 02/09, from Delaware to Pickerington OH and back. Murderous headwinds on the way back, 20+ mph, gusts even higher then that. Started out early in the morning, did not get any tail winds on the trip out. Pretty miserable day with the wind, however I feel pretty good about getting through it.

45 minutes on the rollers last night. Accidentally jumped off the rollers and left a burn mark on the floor But at least I was able to unclip before I took the spill.

Good times.. good times.

Rode 20 miles today in 19 degree weather. Not to bad. Bright blue skies and dry roads. The sun sparkling of the snow was beautiful....

Haven't log in in a while. I totaled my car 2.5 weeks ago and have been commuting ever since. It's pretty cheap commuting, I only live 1.1 mile from work. On the hardcore side, we've seen 20 inches of snow since then and I haven't missed a day (including sub 0 temps). It all works itself out and I'm just glad to be on a bike 6 days a week.

Couldn't let the day pass me up. I geared up with everything I had and made it out. I put just under 20 miles in and loved every second. It was nice to finally get out and ride my new cross bike.

Beautiful day. The wind was pretty heavy coming out of the South, South-East like normal. Wish I could do that every day.
