nice signature deputyjones.. One of the best movies ever..

Psimet2001 05-27-07 02:46 PM

5/27 = yes. 15 miles or so with the in-laws along the Gilman trail. Nice slow ride. I was hauling my son in the trailoer and he melted down - making my wife give me the go ahead to haul a$$ back. Nothing like hauling a trailer at 22+ mph with a homemade siren screaming in the back. No need to call "on your left".

aham23 05-27-07 10:08 PM

5/27 = YES

i did a little roller repeat. it takes me about 13 miles to find a roller! at this point there is this nice little 4.5 mile stretch of rolliness. i rode thru it then turned back and hit it again. not much, but i am doing all i can to prepare for the HHH while riding in will county. its tough. plus, the legs were dead to me today. good times.

My Ride

36.53 miles / 17 mph avg

later.

iab 05-28-07 08:28 AM

5/28 yes

I am in recursive's neighborhood. Mineral Point from the beltline to Lake Wingra, 3 laps around the lake and back out. 30 miles.

aham23 05-28-07 05:47 PM

5/28 = YES = Fourth Day In A Row!

34 miles today of just pure spinning. my legs wanted nothing to do with anything else. i did try to hammer it over a couple of overpasses though. later.

whitesox 05-28-07 05:49 PM

got in 50 miles yesterday :) My bike is squeaking from the rear cassette :(, sucky :( I have my first tri this coming weekend :)

CyLowe97 05-28-07 05:54 PM

5/28 = Yep, indeed.

33 miles of hills with Psimet. The legs felt very good today. See the HHH Training thread for details.

group105 05-28-07 06:05 PM

5/27 13 miles @ Westside park on the White River Greenway
5/28 17.8 miles @ Cardinal Greenway starting from McGalliard.

atomship47 05-28-07 06:22 PM

75 miles. my longest ride so far. i'm beat!

Psimet2001 05-28-07 07:20 PM

5/28=Yes

33 miles with CyLowe in Bull Valley. Up down, up down. Broke 50 mph for the first time in a long time. Still just shy of 1000 miles this year. Not being able to start riding until April really hurt this year. Then again 1,000 miles in 2 months isn't too bad for me.

....now will I commute tomorrow?.....stay tuned....

RacerX99 05-29-07 12:14 PM

5/28 120 miles, 220 for the weekend, 700 this month, 1200 for the year.

Thinking about heading down to Blue Mounds this Saturday and riding some on the HHH course. Anyone going to be around?

Psimet2001 05-29-07 02:40 PM

5/29 = Yes

Commute. Today's ride was interesting considering the hills we did yesterday. Something wierd is going on with my left leg. I think I pulled a muscle I didn't realize I had....

group105 05-30-07 08:33 AM

5/29 - Rode 17.8 miles at the Greenway (North) from McGalliard. I've moved my seat forward a bit and it made a big difference. Avg went down the drain to 15 mph due to some slower family riders who were weaving across the whole path :) no biggie they were cool (on the return trip)....on the way to the North end (where the drinking fountain is) I was above 18mph and at 20mph for a most of the time...

CyLowe97 05-30-07 01:12 PM

5/30: Yep.

22 mile lunch jaunt. Short steep hills. Perfect weather. Little wind to deal with. Great ride!

aham23 05-30-07 02:48 PM

5/30 = YES

24 miles up in Bull Valley.

later.

Shemp 05-30-07 07:25 PM

22 miles, plenty of wind this evening. It picked up to 16mph with 20-25mph gusts. So another slog south coupled with a joyride north!

dannwilliams 05-30-07 07:56 PM

5/30 yes. 25 miles and caught in the rain again. Was heading down to Diamond Bluff when we noticed the wind, which had been blowing up near 20, had let up. Turned around at that point and when we got back out of the valley we saw this big black wall moving in from the SW. Turned it up a notch, retraced our route and almost made it back to town. I was coming down the mile long hill known as Happy Valley RD when it started to pour. Stopped under a tree to put the helmet cover on, and continued. About four miles in the rain this week. Didn't rain as hard as last week on me, but I was just as wet when I got home!

wrafl 05-31-07 01:05 PM

Yes 41.1 miles, short of the 70 miles I needed to break 300 for the month.

Psimet2001 06-01-07 07:35 AM

6/1 = Yes - Commute again. Saw a big turtle on the banks digging holes. Got jumped by some Canadian geese, and almost made a chipmunk a spoke decorator. There's also this tiny little bunny that races me each time I come through that section. Jumps right out on the trail in front of me and then proceeds to run along the trail instead of across it.

5/31 = Kinda - put in a session on the trainer last night after my son went to bed. I know it's horrible to ride a trainer at the end of May, but it is the only way I can get interval sessions in.

later.

Kenal0 06-01-07 10:33 AM

5/31 yes. Last minute 7:00pm decision to take a fast ride around the block. 30 minutes of riding as fast as I can. Lungs and legs stinging. I have been doing shorter harder rides. 1 hour power rides, just fit my schedule better. The weekends will bring some longer rides coming up in the next month.

6/1 - 16 miles on the Greenway...there was a guy on a mountain bike who passed me and I loooked at my speed and it was 20.5 mph:eek: I yelled "your flying on that bike " He said "just taking it easy'...I hit @ 21 mph for 15 minutes and could not catch up with him :( I need to get in better shape...I hope I run into him again he would be a good rider to chase so I can get faster

aham23 06-02-07 12:57 PM

6/2 = Yes

a nice little 22 miler. just spinning the legs loose for the Udder Century tomorrow. later.

CyLowe97 06-02-07 03:57 PM

6/2 - Yep.

20 miles from Carpentersville up through Algonquin and Barrington Hills. Pretty relaxed ride, just like aham's getting ready for 100 on Sunday.

cyclpsycho 06-02-07 05:14 PM

6/2 -

Also an easy paced 21 miler to spin out legs for Udder. -- Insert captain Kirk voice -- "Must resist the big ring."
