6/4 Commute home 28.5miles, found a new, better route, less traffic. New best average of 17.2mph. Stop lights are not the avg speed's friend.

After that I went indoor rock climbing with the family. Now at least my legs and my arms are equally shot and I don't know which hurts more.

Yep.

I've been feeling guilty for not riding since the Udder. So I took out the mountain bike and rode five miles...at 1am.

1:00am!?, that's awesome!! Did you wake up with that guilt, or had you not gone to bed yet? That's too funny!

Last year I had surgery on my neck, to remove a benign tumor they found, argggh, and it screwed alot of my summer. I was told not to bike (or sweat) for 4 weeks, ugggh. Most of the month of July I was out So one day I got sick of it and hopped on my bike and rode around the condo parking lot. I felt guilty but soooooooo much better just to ride 50 feet Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do

Hush now..... I still have bad dreams of spending an hour just to get all my cycling clothes on so I could ride on a 20 degree windy cloudy day.

I hadn't gone to bed yet. I work 2nd shift so sometimes I don't go to sleep until 12-4am.

6/6 - Commute in. Wind was killer out of the South. 25-ish constant. Luckily a lot of the trail is sheltered by trees, but it still added 20 minute on to the commute.

It wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. The heat and humidity are killer right now. The wind is swinging wildly from South to West and back. Never really got the full push I had hoped for.

Drained a huge bottle and grabbed a water bottle when I got home first thing. It's nasty out there, but I am glad I rode.

Meine Fresse! Was ein Kampf.

26.5mls only, since I stopped at mom-in-law's house for some food. A lousy avg of 14.4mph and my legs are on fire like I just finished all stages of Tour de France, Giro de Italia, Dairyland Dare and our New Glarus ride all in one day.

At one point the gust surprised me and blew me from the right side of the bike path to the left edge and in the next second a gust from the left pushed me all the way back to the right again so violently that I almost involuntary dismounted the bike in a forced manner.

Wow.. I'm happy to be home.

6/6/08: I rode 36.5 miles from Royal Oak to Downtown Detroit to watch the Red Wings parade. It was unfortunately super hot. Folks were paying $20 to park. Biking was the only way to go and a lot of other folks apparently felt the same.

Holy moly!!! I can't imagine riding in this . You are Psimet are the super studs of the day!!! I have been in bed for 3 days with the stomach virus from Hades. The only upside to this that I can see is possibly being lighter on the bike. I'm glad you're home safe! Crystal

Sorry to hear you caught a stomach bug. I hate those too. Wants you to install a toilet right in the bed.
But you are right, you will loose weight for sure.

6/7 - Yeah. Early morning. Temps in the 70s, but it's muggy out there!

Did some hill repeats in Sleepy Hollow. 5 x Oak Hill (standing) and later in the ride 5 x Oak Hill (sitting). Yow.
