35 miles on the Spin "A" ride. First fast ride for me in a while. 22.5 mph real average. I finally dropped off with about 1.5 miles to go. I finished my pull at 26 and then the group surged to 28 before I could get back on...... By that time we had whittled the group of 20 down to 5 so I was still pretty happy.
Dan.....Katie LOVED LOVED LOVED the tandem. I have the saddle all the way down but still need to get pedal blocks for her. She is maybe 2 to 3 inches to short still.

8/27 ABC fast hill ride 13 w-up 32 mile route. 45 total. What a great ride outta my wife! Tina stayed with the big dogs tonite finishing in the group with an ave 21.2 mph, her fastest ride ever. This has been the finist week of riding I have ever seen her do. All her hard work has made me the envy of a lot of fellow riders, why? because they all want a wife who can do what she can, baby I am proud of her!!
BTW, I also enjoyed dropping a bunch of young guns in the final sprint, Old and Fast indeed!!

1 sweaty hour on the cross bike at a blistering 8.2 mph average riding over hills and dale with a few barriers and carries on each lap. I hit a top speed of 17.8 somewhere on the course!

I did it, ANOTHER personal goal..
100 miles, took a little less than 8 hours, the wind was hard, and the hard packed gravel path up north was wet. I really was hoping to do it in 6 1/2 hours, but I don't think I did too bad.

Left the house this am, 62f and sunny skies.
14 miles into the ride and the clouds rolled in, finished
in pouring rain and 57f.

8/30 60 miles, me, wife, and momof4. Taste of things to come, cold, by august standards, 60 degrees and stiff west wind. Thanks for the arm warmers momof4, it definatly made the ride more comfy.

I was a wuss and settled on a metric century (64.15 to be exact).
All the overtime this month caught up with me, I REALLY needed to sleep in this morning.
Finally rolled out about 11 a.m. it was borderline cold when the sun went behind the clouds.
Did we accidentally skip September and go right into October?
Cheers
