Seriously though they don't really care, and most of the routes run together for most of the ride. I think there are actually links to the route maps on the Udder site this year. This gives you the bailout option all the way (you can choose to ride a shorter route each time a shorter route peels off of the main route).
The BFNIC (Bike Forums-Northern Illinois Chapter) group will meet up with everyone at the beginning. We all ride together. As the routes peel off then riders doing shorter routes peel off then. It's a very popular ride so even if you don't like our pace (we are very slow to some and very fast to others) there will be plenty of other groups to latch on to.

... but you ride as far as you want ... or little as you want... the fee is the same for all distances Just make sure if you are doing one of the longer rides to get there early and start early... because they do cut off the sag support and if you're a newbie and maybe a tad bit slower, you don't want to get stuck out there with no sag support The sheet will tell you when the sag support ends... it's pretty late, but just be aware of it
Good luck!! These rides are so much fun!!

It's my fault you're into this cycling business, so it's the least I can do.

Sounds good to me, I'll see you there.
I don't see cycling as a bad thing, yet. Just as long as my truck doesn't get broken into again

Alright. Lots of folks in.
When are we planning on riding? Last year it was 6:45 meet up, 7 am roll out.
We met up near the entrance to the registration and Psimet had a handy forums sign. Perhaps he'll bring another sign along this year?

BTW - I am ready for earliest rollout we can get (taking into consideration those who have to drive).

I'm in for either 50 or 62. Maybe I can actually not suck and stick with the group this time...

I updated the BFNIC ride schedule to reflect who is riding the Udder (based on outside input through PMs and this thread. Need to drum up some of the usual suspects. Signal11, Voldemort, Drag, and get Flywolf or Dave342 to drive down.
Right now there are 13 riders who have said they are going. Good sized crowd.

I believe I might change from 100 to 62 as that ride a few weeks ago at 45 was the long for the year.
It appears that the 62 and 100 ride the first 42 together before they break off. The 50 goes to the first rest stop at 17 with the others then cuts out.

I'll be there ready to roll at 7 am.
I am running my last trail run in the spring series the day before. I'm leading the women's master division so I'm going to have to run hard to retain my standing going into the fall ....course description is first 4.5 miles are uphill Rest of the 9.3 is rolling hills. I'm saying all of this to say that I'll hang with you all as long as I can. My legs will probably be trashed.
I'm in for the 100. Figure riding 100 on tired legs is good training for RAIN.
Psimet, I haven't pm'd you but I'm in...Crystal

I've got clearance from the tower
Add me to the paceline
I haven't done that many miles (100) yet, but I figure 67 miles at Blue Mound = 100 miles here in flatland. Deerpass isn't that hard of a hill!

I have a feeling - like Kenal0 - that this one will be a fast(er) one. Inputflangeman is out - has a race the next Saturday (don't know if this one is running, swimming, or a tri), but Smokinmiles and cyclpsycho might add some speed into the group.
I can hold on, but don't expect many pulls....errr.....I mean I'll be sweeping to keep the group together....yeah...that's it...
EDIT: This is of course if my baby sitter (Nana) can decide that she wants to babysit. She's kind of hemming and hawing about doing it. If she's out, then I am ....unless I can just leave my son with a SAG driver....seriously will that work?? Give him a pacifier, some fig newtons, a couple of butter cookies, some juice and he'll be set. Especially if he has bicycles to look at *reaching out opening and closing hand while grunting* - *heart melting*.

Psimet...wear your RAIN jersey.
Right now the forecast is for scattered thunderstorms so we need some help.
It also looks like it's supposed to rain straight through until Tuesday. What cruel fates summoned these storms the week after my semester ends?

Just watch another channel or go to another weather service, most say a chance of showers but not definite, I remember one of the rides we did last year we could see the rain and ended up riding in a big loop around it. We never got wet. That being said, if I wake up at 5:00 am and it is wet, I am going back to bed.
