Need Help in NW IN

Hey all,

I live in Highland IN. I commute 3 days a week to school and 5 days a week to work on my old warhorse....
I need a tune up, and want to do it myself... Here's the rub.... While I could rebuild your SB Chevy, I couldn't true a wheel or adjust my shifter to save my life....

Anyone have an inclination to help me figure this out? I can pay in beer!

I need to adjust the deraileurs and true my wheels... I also have a bent spoke on the rear...

Help

Billy

Check out www.parktool.com. Great online resource for repairs and adjustments.

Or go to a bookstore or library and pick up a repair book, such as....

I have never trued a wheel. Take a look at the sheldon brown web site for a lot of information about adjusting deraileurs. I followed his instructions and it worked fine. Be brave and just do it.

Ok, I read the Sheldon Brown Article, and Read the Bicycling Guide on how to adjust my rear deraileur. I messed it up some how... Now when I try to shift to the second smallest cog I jump up (going up) or down (going down)... Some gears are realy quite, Some even noiseier...

Anyone local who can help me with this?

TIA
