Great! My site Chicago Bike Racing is designed to be a resource for the beginning racer in Chicago. It has regular race reports and news, plus a directory of team rides and a calendar of upcoming races. By the end of the summer there should be a directory of local teams to help people looking to join in 2008.

Hm, I might have to look at that too Mr. Scrooby. The only thing is that I ride track not road. Well, jc33, I live in and ride in Chicago so if you ever need company for a ride you know where to find me. (I'm usually here. )

hi thanks for the info mr scrooby ill check that out. more specifically i ride right now in the barrington hills, fox river grove, schaumburg, palatine, hoffman estates area. that is all basically northwest of the city but i am not against driving a little ways if it means getting more experience with pack riding. I think that is what i need in order to race. I am also a runner and swimmer so i think i have a pretty decent cardio base so i should be able to keep up. my rides have been around 15-16 mph average. i usually do a long ride on sunday if anyone is interested or has a group that rides that day i would be interested.
