I've been hiding in my basement trying to rebuild my knees! Took most of '07 off. Back on the bike the past couple of months trying to ease back into it.
It sucks to get old!
Looking forward to being dropped by all of you an numerous rides in '08!

jtm1631! - holy poo you're back!
Happy new year everyone! Lots of new toys and tricks for 2008. I plan on hitting some races before the end of the year.
As for x-country skiing....someone let me know where I can go. I snagged my old skis from my parents place. Haven't done it in 15 years or so, but it's like riding a bike right??!!

The Burnidge FP on Big Timber is a good place to start. Nothing too challenging and the paths are pretty obvious. I'm thinking of getting the snow shoes and heading over there today. There's about 4" of new snow from last night's downfall.

CyLowe97 -- I've been heading up to the Kettle (Nordic Trails) about every Sunday. I skate ski and there aren't a lot of places in Illinois for that. I have been out to Deer Grove, but it is a very short course.
Psimet2001 -- I agree with CyLowe on Burnidge FP. I also have an old pair of traditional skis, that I may use from time to time, for a quick ski at Burnidge. But I really like the speed and workout involved with skating.

....hey IF I played in snow I could drive over there....sitting here at "Chateau Hip" just a few miles away from that shop. I'd go hang there, but that would mean I have to get off my quickly growing fat arse to get there!
Happy New Year to the BIF-Knickers.
Even though you are from that inferior state to the south, you guys are OK.
Enjoy watching the Packers in the playoffs and root for them, because if they make to the Super Bowl I'll probably be in for a week of broadcasts from sunny Arizona!

In that case, I'll root for them. You need all the sun you can get. And especially if they take out the Cowboys. And it would be fun to Favre, Driver, and company ruin the Patriots run for perfection at the Super Bowl.
