my christmas present to myself has arrived (although its a month late)

i had saved up some monies from christmas along with winning the office football pool, so after a lot of searching, i scored a factory refurbished SRM Professional for about half price...

i figure that while i don't race, i definitely want to be able to be the best cyclist i can be. an SRM will surely help me, but of course i will have to make sure i use it right and train with it.

i also figured that with the baby coming soon, i might as well buy this now since i probably won't be able to part with the money after it's born.

Nice....Leave it next to the rocking chair so that you can stare at it all those nights you won't be sleeping.

Good luck BTW!

Nah, Just drop it by my place. I have 12 bikes right now - 5 or so in line in my shop. I can always move yours to the front....for a fee (beer) that is....

...and before any of you guys give me any grief: Voldemort - your cross bike is ready - your road will be ready by the time you swing by. Kimbercop yours is done. Not much to do. CyLowe - where you put yours in the garage made my wife think that I actually did buy 2 bikes at the swap meet and was truely hiding one from her.

Edit: Oh and I used to ride the trainer with my son in his bouncy chair next to it while he was napping. Worked OK. He couldn't make it 30 minutes though.

Got a sweet picture of it somewhere...

"Kimbercop yours is done. Not much to do."

I vow to ride enough this year to make you actually have to work on my bike next year.

I'm just thinking out loud here, but I may be able to be hired out as a SAG driver for y'all this year at RAIN. I wont be able to ride, but I think I have weekends off in July and might be able to talk the wife into a short time away from home helping my fellow BFNIC'ers.

Just a thought, but dont count me in yet.

Scary awesome.

PS - My $50 offer for your Moots still stands. Heck, I'll even make that $50 Canadian to sweeten the deal.

What the heck do you think the SRM is for? It's to find out just exactly how much power output it takes nietsmas to puke doing intervals.
