Who got into the HHH this year?
This is going to be an interesting year for me doing this.
My year is off to a slow start the usual suspects of work and family but I did not think that I would collapse a lung completely. They say I should be ok for the ride... glad I only went for the 100K route.
See you guys out on the road... once this snow melts.
Jason

I"m in, too! I still plan to visit your shop in CP to introduce myself after the spring thaw. I'll need to spend some time on the hills out your way early on and coffee always makes me feel better!
Sorry to hear about the health troubles, but heal quickly- I think we *only* have 2 months of winter left!

I'm In! Good luck with the recovery and may your lungs whip those hills come June.
P.S. Don't tell you spin instructor that you are going to do the ride. I made this mistake and am paying for it dearly.
Our spin class is held at are LBS and is all roadies including our instructor.
last week she handed out a hill profile for a local race that has a lot of hills, we mimicked the race for the class. There were three sprints and three King of the mountains, It was great class.
Now Monday was a different story. After the warm up we went right in to a big climb (or climbing gear) near the end we all stood and pushed it over the top. This is when I was challenged to stay out of the saddle and crank up the resistance for a little longer. I was feeling good and after about ten minutes of doing my own class I was challenged to try it for the whole hour. Well I couldn't say no so I kept it going. It was very help full with people periodically rooting me on. When it was all said and done I spent 45 Minutes standing in a climbing gear with a heart rate averaging 162.
I am still doing cool down rides on the rollers three days later

I'm volunteering this year. At least I think I am. I filled out the Volunteer Like A Viking form, but have yet to hear back.
In any case, I'll be up there that weekend and riding much of the course on Friday.

Since I'm off the bike for over two months and don't know what my recovery will be after knee surgery, I bailed. Next year though and good luck to you guys!

They email you a couple of weeks before the ride with your assignment. At least they did in '06.
