SNOW is a Four-Letter Word
Snow is a four-letter word and that's all I have to say about that.
Not really. I foolishly thought getting a nice long ride in yesterday would make things better for a while. Just the opposite, it made it worse. Argh! Why do we weather whimps stay in the snow belt? |
I love snow myself :p But I have a friend who hates it. He won't even say its name.... just calls it "that white ****." (and the *s indicate a real 4 letter word)
And oh--his job? He plows snow! :D |

Wilke:
Saw your photo blog at www.skinnyski.com from the Birke. At least they had good weather for the event this year. We have a 7-foot plie of snow at the end of our driveway. Gee, sure hope that's gone by May... |
No comment on today since that would involve the C*** and S*** words, but
yesterday we made it over 50 and life was good to the tune of a fine forty-mile ride. Yes, there were puddles. Yes, I was not quite careful enough on a remaining ice patch. Yes there is some road rash and a few bruises, but who cares? We had riding weather even for weather wimps. Perhaps there is life in the Midwest after all. |
Just a short, careful ride for me yesterday. Temps were fine but there were plenty of slippery ice blobs still scattered around waiting to teach me lessons about traction and gravity. I was hoping for more rain to erase them but it didn't work out that way.
