Anyone in the Shaker Heights/Cleveland Heights area want to ride bicycles with me?

Spring is almost here! I can tell because every day the snow recedes I see bands of kids out riding bicycles. Its truely amazing how many children I see riding bicycles, but no adults! Cmon where are you guys? I would like to do some casual rides around the neighborhood, maybe down to Little Italy or take a ride down to the metroparks or something. Let me know if any of you are interested and we can form a loose group of friends who like to ride bikes around town. Some day I just want to plan a bicycle ride and place a few fliers in the hardware store and grocery stores. The rides would be very casual, not very planned, just a set date and a place to meet and maybe some food or something. Im thinking maybe we could meet up around green lake (AKA the duck pond) or the Shaker Lakes Nature center. I will probably plan a ride for the saturday before easter, weather permitting of course. People really should be more creative. I think there are alot of people who want to get out and ride bicycles with other people, but lack the opportunities. Hopefully I can solve this problem. To me bicycling should be social, because the idea is to have fun.

You might have better luck posting in the Great Lake Sub-Forum.

You probably see me around Little Italy and University Circle on my blue road bike or soon on my black track bike. I don't usually have time to ride just for fun but I try to go to bike polo on sundays. Maybe you want to look into that? It's over by the west side market. Check on the fixedgeargallery forum.

hey I live in shaker square right now, and commute to csu every morn, in a week or two if you're looking for some distance i'm gonna start riding daily through the chagrin river valley. If you're not up to that you should try to make it out to polo one suday, its a blast, and more of a social event then anything, there a plenty of people there who ride free wheels but bring one thats not afraid to get a little abuse. i guess the ohiocity bike co-op does weekly social rides, though i've never been one one. and in the summer some friends and I have a bicycle mayhem wednesday night ride which is lots of fun....

I live in Cleveland Heights and would be interested in riding. I am pretty much a novice but I am looking to improve my skills and meet new people.

So I fig'd out why it was jumping gears: one of the stays on the rear triangle was broken and the seat mast tube snapped shortly thereafter. Yea that bicycle is dead to me. Luckily I have a backup! Now my quest to find the tallest bicycle (road bike was 68 cm!).

Okay, So I wanted to start some new threads but I just thought I would write some ideas down in my old thread.
1. I have off on thurs APR 10 so if anyone wants to ride, Im free.
2. I am thinking about leading a ride for earthday cleveland, as I am now officially LAB certified!
3. I would like to point out to everyone that there is a shaker heights cycling group in facebook that I created if anyone wants to join.
4. I also wanted to start a thread on bike camping.
I forget what else I wanted to say....... my train of thought just had its steam engine explode.
