3-16 Sunday ride...
OK, it's cold but sunny and dry.
Coach Jerry delivered my Klein to my house last night (Shifters rebuilt/spring tuneup) and the four of us pigged out with Italian food and drink and dessert all night long while looking at vacation photos. Time to go put that Klein back on the pot-holed road later today.
Shall we?

Rode the St. Pats ride out of Wauconda. Found out that my legs aren't as good as I thought they were. Oh well. This will go a long way towards getting me on track.
Thin Mints are the devil.

well, appearences can be decieving. the sky was clear and the sun was bright, but holy crap it was cold out. i need to get me a winter jersey or coat and one of those face mask things.
with a newly bum knee and the cold temps i kept the ride short, 21 miles. went out around 18 mph and came back at 14 mph. good times.
i did spot another brave sole out there, but didnt chase him down. too early in the season for that kind of fun.

70mi of rollers and some tempo fun. I'm getting used to this "sun" thing being out more frequently.

Did the ride as well with the same 3 riding buddies that I ended the season with in late November. It was a bit chilly but felt great to be riding outside again. Nice course too, we recognized 2-3 rest stop locations from the Arlington 500. We did the 20 mile loop first then the 16. I've been enjoying the comaradery of cycling classes on the computrainer, but it felt so nice to be able to move the bike around and have real wind in the face instead of a fan.
