Attn: Sheboygan Crit Cancelled

The WCA race tomorrow in Sheboygan was cancelled due to snow and poor road conditions.
I guess I'll be in IL for the Burnham race on sunday.

Awwww ... I was planning on going to shoot pics. Thanks for the heads up.

Gee, guess that means I get to get up early and do chores.

I wonder what else is going on Saturday? Supposed to rain Sunday.

Okay ... that's an option. I could make the last two events - I live just off 43 so it's an easy hammer drive. Will see.

Am going skiing ONE MORE TIME in 3 hours!!

Neener neener!

The weather tomorrow for the race at the Blackhawk Farms is going to be awesome. In the 60's and no rain until 6pm! Yeehaw!

I'm running the cat5/citizens and men 4/5 later on.

Have fun at Blackhawk. My best 2 wheel lap time is a 1:18.0

Thought about going, but out of shape and Blackhawk is my least favorite race track (although I have more miles there than any other track). Road America would make for a more challenging and fun race.

Road America would have a nasty little ascent every lap on that nice long straight.

Ridden a bicycle on both. Road America is more difficult, but much more fun. Much more fun on a motorcycle also.

Race report: It was very windy and fast. I felt ok, still kind of sore from yesterday. At the line, I thought we still had one to go, never getting a chance to unleash my vicious sprint of fury.

Sounds like YOU got learned.

What cat. and what team. I got 'cha somewhere.

Winner of the 1/2/3 race ... looking WAY to tan to be from around here!

HEY ... the grass is green down there! I'm walking around in shorts and yesterday I was skiing!!

Seemed to be well run. Nice place for a race too, you can hear the announcer throughout the course.

Hey John, I was Team Wheel & Sprocket in the 4/5 race and the 3/4. #323. I'm hoping somebody has pics of my solo break away...

Race Report: Windy, Won a prime on a solo one lap breakaway in the 4/5 race. Go me. The 3/4 race was lots faster, but less squirrely riders. Today was definately a test for the legs.

Yeah, I got learned all right. It was definitely disappointing, but I'm not too bothered, because I'm really going after the Wisconsin Cup series points.

I was in the 3/4 race, wearing the same kit as in my avatar. I think I see my arm in the first pic.

I did shoot a little video with my 'stills' camera:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhUvWpH-UTM

Good practice for me ... I'll get the hang of it by Superweek.

There is a 'bike-cam' video of the final lap of the 2's race ... link at the organizer's page and I reposted it on the BF Racing thread for this race.

Recursive didn't have anything to do with this ... did he???

(A Scummer pic)

See that guy pointing right at him and other guys giving him the evil eye also.

You're going to be a feared man in the next field sprint!

That crash was instigated long before I got to that point. The guy went down solo. I don't know why. It was a bit of a squeeze getting past him, but luckily happened without incident. I had even more of a squeeze a few laps later when a guy or two went down in front of me (again) and forced some people off the road.

If I am a feared man in the sprint, it won't be due to my result in this race. I kind of forgot the race was ending. However, I won't do that in the future, so a measure of fear will be appropriate.
