an introduction and question

hello all, not new to this site but new to this area.

my name is ben and my family and i just returned to the united states after 4 glorious years in Okinawa and i just recently separated from the air force after 7 1/2 years of service. We have settled in my hometown of Canton Ohio.

i just recently got my bike back and yesterday went on my first official ride. altho it was only 15 miles long it introduced my to the towpath trail system and that definitely hs me intrigued. my wife and i have decided to do the whole thing all the way down to Cincinnati. i read somewhere that someone has just finished doing it but i couldnt find much out. basically all i need is some good maps and if anyone has ideas on where to camp.

i guess the hardest part is going to be thru the northern spot. not to many campsites i imagine. i think we are only going to do about 30-40 miles a day on account of our 2 year old who will be with us.

anyway hope to see some of yall out there

Ben

ststephen65, welocme home! Well from what I know that trail isn't completely finished all the way to cincy You will need to some road riding around the parts that don't exsist yet. Too get an idea of what is done and not done, go to www.ohiocycling.info and look under the rider resourse tab for the ODOT site. When you get to the ODOT site click on the map in the upper right corner and it will open an interactive map.

I look forward to the day it is finished as well, would love to go from Clev=cicny all on trails.

Yeah, that will be great. I live in Cleveland but born and raised in Cincy. I would love to ride down there, get some Skyline Chili and Graeter's Ice Cream. Maybe even pick up some goetta.
