I'm hopefully finishing up my three week hiatus on Wednesday. Return visit to the doctor and hopefully will get clearance to ride again. As I started a new job at the beginning of February downtown, I should probably bring up the topic of early departures on Tuesdays sooner rather than later.

I just haven't had the time to make it over to here but I posted it up in the team forum that we're riding at 5:30. Earlier if we can but seriously I am going to be pushing it to get out of work in time to get there. I am bringing a light and blinkie just in case.

Ride takes about 1:30 on slow days. sun sets at 7:00 If we can run at 5:20 then great. Be there when you can.

Ok. I'll probably just ride from the office, then. I'll leave at about 5:00 and look to hook up with you guys for atleast a few miles when you hit the "north" loop.

Really, I've been struggling with my left hamstring, seems like forever. Now that I'm older of course, it's gotten worse. After all these years I find out I have a shorter right leg. I now have orthodics with a lift for my everyday shoes and I shimmed my cycling shoes. It feels a whole lot better! Now it's just dialing in the bike and getting use to it. Then I'll hit the gas

Oddly enough, those bibs aren't even comfy. I only wore them because I thought I'd be sporting the knee warmers, and they're less offensive with knee warmers... but it was too warm when I started.

I did a mostly different ride than those guys (did a lot of looping around and back) but you can see the route and all stats here:

Mouse over the finish balloon for stats.

It was very slow comparatively. If you show up and turn it into a race I'll smack ya. It's too damned early to have 2 race days every week.

I don't look at any weather reports around here until it is close enough to show up on the hourly forecast. Anything before then - especially in March - is horridly wrong.

You can't sandbag on a training ride.
