About 4" up here, still snowing a bit. Had up to 1/2 of ice on the car driving home from Beloit last night.

Re: Photo's from yesterday

The photo of the xXx guy winning is fantastic. A little more depth of field may have helped a tad.

Apparently Madison has more money to take care of the roads than McHenry County does...that or you're more hardcore than i thought.

Psimet2001 03-29-09 03:02 PM

Enjoy the ride. I was looking outside wishing I could get some time to go. Alas....

It wasn't that bad. :p

I rode the Fox river trail to Algonquin (snow made for better workout & bike handling skills), lots of trees down on the trail. I took to the again salty  roads on the way back.

Alright. :notamused: That's it. Right? :twitchy: The last blast of winter is behind us! :thumb:

It wasn't bad at all. The worst part of my ride, in fact, was hearing "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette at the base of this little doosie
http://www.thephotodictionary.com/im...valleyhill.jpg

Last time i ever allow "Billboard Top 250 Songs of the 90's" on my ipod :twitchy:

Gotta love topo-route's graph scaling algorithms.

SmokinMiles 03-29-09 10:02 PM

Hmmmm .... It's not snowing or cold here in Palm Springs, Ca!

thump55 03-30-09 05:45 AM

Highs in the low 40's for the next 10 days here along with rain/snow at some level for many of them. Sure glad I bought that new bike 3 weeks ago...at least I got to watch the CI on tv yesterday.

It is what it is, a very short very steep hill. 15% grade at one point...

It's the rain that I don't like but the temps...you can ride. I rode yesterday. My route is west bound and back. It was great going west. Riding along with the cars in the 25mph zone. Keeping the pace at 27mph for stretches. The way back SUCKED. 14mph - 17mph into the wind. BUT...I rode.

ColorChange 03-31-09 06:38 AM

I haven't ridden in over a week ... boooooohhhh.
