Arlington 500

Anyone doing this ride (it's actually in and around Barrington) on May17? The price is right, $15 day-of-ride.

Did it last year with Nietsmas and it was fun. Plan to do it again right now.

I think I am in ( assuming my flight gets in before midnight on Saturday). Expect "Group B" mph average.

It's a nice ride - I try to do it every year weather permitting.

Hey Wireless, good to hear from you. I was just wondering about you when I was out doing some riding in Busse Woods recently. Hope to see you there. I don't really know what pace I'll be riding. I guess some of it depends on distance I aim for.

I'm planning on it! It's mainly flat with a few hills. I don't remember thinking it was hilly...just really cold the year I did it.

Weather permitting, I'm in. I had a few health issues with my lungs (asthma and allergies). But I rode the last couple days, and I'm heading out for a 40 mile ride today, so I should be good to go.

Likewise! I hope I can make it and ride with everybody - at least for the first couple of miles

And yes - Busse Woods remains to be one of my favorite spots - just did 21 miles there tonight.

Mostly flattish with some mild hills. Usually pretty well marked. How does 7Am rollout sound?

I'll start whenever you guys decide although I'd prefer the later start time of 8:00. It's going to be a cold morning, but if we need to get going early, it's worth getting up and getting there by 7:00. Whatever works! (Voldemort ....I'm dropped 7:00:30 or 8:00:30 haha)

I prefer 8, too, but can live with earlier if need be. CyLowe, Psimet, Aham...haven't seen a word from you guys. I know you're out there. Any of you partaking of this endeavor? What time do others prefer?

I plan to ride Sunday, however I have not been riding much and I'm concerned if I ride with you all, CC will be yelling at me the whole time .
The later the start the better for me, it is a short ride, and I prefer riding during the warmer part of the day.

Now out. I have to work late tonight. Getting up early after a long shift does not agree with me.

The only time I'd yell at you JT1 is if a sprint was involved ... cause you'd be beating me!

I had my usual 50 mile hammerfest this morning ... so hopefully I can try and control myself and ride socially tomorrow.

Well, I had the best run I've had in over a year this morning. 10 miles at a 7:50 pace. I am thrilled. Haven't seen that pace in a long while. I smell a BQ for this fall and I'm not talking about barbeque. Ah, I love Boston in the spring.

Anywho, I report this to tag onto your "my legs are dead" sentiment. Seriously, I can barely walk. haha

There's a frost warning tonight. It's gonna be chilly in the morning. I have some good stories about not dressing warm enough for this ride a couple of years ago.
