Richland Center, WI Saturday Morning Ride

A group of local cyclist have been meeting 7:30 AM Saturday mornings at Kroskop Park (near the "Band Shelter") in Richland Center for 20-40 mi rides. All abilities are welcome. See below (post #11) for this this week's (7/18) routes.
Hope to see you there!

Great Idea!

Great idea to provide alternative routes that appeal to differing levels of riders. Breakfast sounds good, too!

Hi - been having only mixed success with this website, but I'm wondering what the plan might be for 6/20.

6/20 routes

unless there are any objections, i made long, med, and short route options for the ride on 6/20. i posted them on bikely.com:

http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/sr-dd-zz-loop-long
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/sr-dd-loop-med

these are the long and med route options, and i thought the short route option could be returning on sr-aa with possibly a loop on br-80. i'll bring some hard copy maps with me on saturday. i also think it would be cool if we could all ride together on the first section of the ride (up aa-sr) and then split off on the route you want.
hope to see you all there!

Before the start of the ride on Saturday, I agreed to put together maps for the 27th, so here goes.
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path...ders-6-27-Long
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path...-6-27-Moderate
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path...ers-6-27-Short
We would start together at the hospital, and the first break off spot would be at Q and ZZ... the "short" route heading off on ZZ at that point. The second break off spot would be the intersection of Z, ZZ, and A. The "moderate" folks would head south on ZZ, and the "long" riders would see more of Hwy A, etc. again.

I hope that this proves to be satisfactory.

Thanks to those who shouted words of encouragement while I was fixing yet another flat. I hope to get that ongoing issue sorted out SOON!

Have a great week!

One Quick Addition

Remember that on the 27th we're meeting in the Richland Hospital parking lot because of the Star Spangled Celebration. Let's hope there's good weather for that event and our rides!

Life is good....

Great routes so far!

Even though I haven't been able to do the Saturday rides for the past several weeks, I have enjoyed exploring some or parts of the routes that have been posted on other days. Maybe this Saturday . . .
Thanks for the effort it takes to develop and post the routes.

Routes for 7/18:

Long-FYI it's the old Ocooch Mountain long ride. Anyone doing it can stop for a breather/refreshments at my house, it's a little over halfway through the ride.

I'm so glad that smeone in the group pointed out the "bikely" web site. Yesterday morning I rode an interestine route near Muskogee, OPK, and I'll be heading out near Georgetown, TX in a bit.

Happy trails to all!

I was linked to this thread by a fellow BF member. I will be visiting WI for the first time this upcoming week. I will be in Oxford, WI from Sunday the 26th (at night) until Thursday the 30th. I was wondering if any of you know of any good routes around this area? I am looking for good training roads. I don't need a dedicated bike trail (actually I prefer roads so I don't get in the way or endanger rec riders). I would like to find at least one day to hit a good climb or two (if possible). I generally ride anywhere from 2-3.5 hours per day depending on my motivation, energy, etc. This usually translates to 35-60ish miles. Any help is appreciated. Also if anyone wants to hook up for a ride, let me know!
