New Wikipedia article: Cycling in Detroit

I just created a Cycling in Detroit article on Wikipedia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycling_in_Detroit

This could be an invaluable resource for area cyclists, but especially visitors (including the thousands of cyclists expected at this summer's U.S. Social Forum.)

Also note that in keeping with the other city cycling Wikipedia articles, this article focuses only on the city of Detroit and not the suburbs or Metro Detroit region.

I am creating the "Greenways in Detroit" article next...

Nice article, well-written and detailed. I'm originally from Detroit and I agree that it does have a good bicycling infrastructure. I once looked at a bicycling map of 1896 and was amazed at how far flung the road system was laid out back then; the map extended to 12 Mile Road.

Of personal note, I have ridden the Wolverine 200 in 1971 and I heard Mike Walden speak about cycling in Ann Arbor also in the 1970ís

Detroit really has the chance to become something special. I love what they're doing with urban farming.
