Kelly Benefit Strategies rider Scott Zwizanski had only a 3 second lead over last years winner, Rory Sutherland of United Healthcare, and the team controlled the peleton for most of the race. Rory made his move with 2 laps to go, and pulled away for his third straight GVGP championship. Last year and this he never wore the leaders jersey until the end of the week long stage race, and that is when it counts. The men had to make 21 climbs up the famous Chilkoot Hill (700m long hill that averages a 22% grade!)
