Sheridan Rd in Winnetka Illinois, the good news and the bad news:
Sheridan Rd is a very popular route along the lakefront north of Chicago. Pavement quality has been a real problem for many years. A section of Sheridan Rd in Highland Park was repaved in 2009 & 2010.
The section north of Winnetka Rd is now being repaved. The route will be down to one lane for the short term. You might want to detour around this section during this week.

I've been resentful since I found out the Ravine north of Tower Road is closed to bikes.
