If it doesn't fill before I make a 100% decision to do it I may register in cat 5.

Anyone planning on going? Carpool from Chicago? Share hotel?

There was a group of us from the Minneapolis area that were going to do it a couple of years ago and the cat 5 race sold out in a couple of hours of registration being open. You might want to make up your mind pretty quickly about it if you are serious about going.

Thanks for the heads up, it seemed like it might fill up fast.

I've done it a few times in the past, but my racing days are over. My daughter may be there. She's a Cat 2.

Riding on the bricks in town was interesting! I'd recommend 700x25 tires with less pressure that you normally uses. Even the country roads part is somewhat rough chip and tar.

Yea, I didnt have the $ in time and it filled up almost immediately. I'm seeing the cat5 classes fill up almost instantly around here.

I'll be ready for it next year though, this is the sort of race I dream of doing!
