I took off at 6 am and missed almost everyone, but I was on a bit of a mission. The weather was so perfect, I made a go at the 300. I got it.
It literally took me all 14 hours from sun up to sun down to complete it. I got back to Land's End as the moon was rising and the sun had just ducked beyond the horizon.
And now that I've done the 300, next time I'll go back to the shorter routes and be a little more social.
As for SmokinMiles, her day was unfortunately cut short. Another rider she was with wrecked on Rosy, breaking a collar bone. That was a huge bummer, but the rider should recover.
