Just signed up for the Haleiwa 100k

Anyone else going?

The longest I've "ridden" so far since getting my bike back in November is about 20 miles on a trainer. I also do the IB&T Tantalus ride most Tuesdays. Other than that it has just been commuting 2 miles each way to work several times a week.

I've got about a month to get up to snuff.

My bike is a hybrid so maybe not the most appropriate for long distance riding but I'll give it a shot anyway. I'm the only one on a hybrid doing the Tantalus ride each Tuesday and I do ok.

I could drive to the event from town but be better if I could catch a ride with someone since they are warning that parking is going to be bad.

Depending on where your at (didnt read anything in your post about location)I could probably give you a lift on the day of it. I live on the windward side, so just let me know.

Thanks for the offer but I may end up not needing it for two reasons. Yesterday I found out HBL is going to offer bus service which I could possibly use and also my daughters BF is going to go. I may just go ahead and drive my truck and give him a ride too. I wouldn't feel so bad about taking up some of the parking if I carpooled.

It's right around the corner this Sunday. As of right now there are 922 people registered for it. Any of you going?

I'll be catching the HBL bus from Kakaako with my future son in law.

I've been working my butt off on the trainer so I think I'm ready.
