First real ride on a bike in 10-15 years. Cranked out 10.9 miles at 13.34 mi/hr average. It would be easy to go a really long way on this bike.

Only complaint: I'm going to have to just get used to the saddle or buy something that isn't so damn hard. I think I'll just tough it out for a while and see how I adapt.

I exchanged my saddle for my bike. Look much better isn't?

Just went into my LBS and rode the 2014 Crossrip Elite. They had a 54" 2015 LTD with the brushed Al which I think looks very nice. I wanted to order a 56" 2015 LTD but it appears Trek is all out. Personally I do like the matted black finish of the 2015 Elite...not sure how I feel about the 2016 LTD glossy black finish but went ahead and ordered one to see it in person. The nice bit is they gave me a great deal on it

My LBS also checked the specs and everything looked to be the same but the 2015 LTD has the Evoke1 saddle while the 2016 has the Evoke1.5. It is also listed that way in the link provide by manc Trek CrossRip LTD - Gregg's Cycles

Not sure what the difference is, if any.

Nice looking new Crossrip you have there. I've been very interested in the LTD model. Anyone hear any news on when the 2016 Domane line might be available or announced?

In the past, Trek would typically release the majority of their new bikes after Trekworld, which is their autumn dealer show. More recently, they've been looking to move away from the tired old "model year" concept, and start releasing more bikes as they become finalized and available. There are new versions (mainly new color schemes, really) of some FX and DS bikes available now, while some women's MTB lines like the Skye and Cali are receiving some updates to more closely mirror the men's Marlin and X-Caliber lines. As far as road bikes go, and Domanes specifically, I couldn't say. They will be announcing a few new bikes on June 30th, as they've been doing a big marketing push around that date. Honestly, following Trek on social media sites may be your best bet for seeing some of the new stuff as it comes out.

How is the fit for you guys? I just ordered a 54 after I was "fit" for it...basically they fit me to a 54 Domane...which after looking at the charts is significantly smaller.

Best I can tell, the 52 Crossrip is equiv to the 54 Domane. I currently have a 54 Madone at it was a hair too big/long stock. Thinking the pretty lengthy top tube and higher stand over on the Crossrip is going to make it way to large for me. Probably calling in the morning to cancel order.

Yeah I think they run a bit long in the frame.

So are you saying that they decided what Crossrip frame to order based on fitting you on a Domane? I'd be sure to have a return or exchange option before buying the Crossrip.

Yea, when I got home and checked the charts...hey are muppets, what can I say? I called them that night and had them go a size down. Fits like a damn glove!
